Problem with the James/Taylor affair was it ignored for years and years but pesky fan bases and soap mags constantly brought it up. The biggest issue I had was James was never brought into the equation, and of course the following year in 2007 Thudley stepped into big time  with the Who Shot Grant revisit backfiring on him big so badly he had to write write some quickie convoluted ending to it.

Faux good girl turned bad girl is nothing new and Luna-tic is adequate at best.

@YRfan23 Liam’s recent appearances remind me of where Nick was in 2009 or where  Wyatt was at back in 2017 with threats that are completely unsubstantiated. In fact Liam hasn’t done much this year at all and his “big” romance with Ivy went DOA. Even though we all hate Liam appearance I’m beginning to think Liam may go the way or Nick and Wyatt soon enough.

I guess that's the one time Thudley cracked under pressure.

I'm certainly hoping that happens with Liam....nothing against Scott Clifton, but at this point, what more can be done? I'd be happy with Liam and Hope reuniting quickly and both leaving town with Beth.

'B!tchy' Aunt Li [BAL] only had extreme disdain for Poppy, which seemed centered around Luna's paternity. BAL spitting so much hate led viewers to suspect it was Jack or Finn.

Now, it seems it's been common knowledge that Tom was a serious candidate for that title. Really? Even though she's awful, I doubt BAL would hate on her sister that much because she hooked up with a washed-up singer. And Lunacy knew about Tom her whole life, she's always been a gold-digger, but RJ wasn't rich enough, etc.

Then there was that weird scene with BAL + $B in her office about the paternity test.

Is it safe to say, this is a complete rewrite?

I'm not complaining because the murders gave B&B a much-needed jolt with stories actually intertwining like Steffy *leaving* after the Hope kiss. For the past two months, it hasn't been one story that dominates every episode with every character repeating exactly the same thing about that one story!

The SINN montage used today was nice I like that psychic connection kicking in again  and Finn realizing something is off with Luna.

Also was there a slight time jump lol? It felt like only a day has passed yet everyone on today was saying Steffy had been gone now for “days” like the week passed in real time lol. I can’t recall the last time a daytime soap actually did a 1 episode = 1 day concept since the mid-00’s with the  P&G soaps doing that.

Luna has been dull as dishwater since she debuted. It took a crazy Brad Bell stunt like this to make her interesting. I wish they had thought of this before instead of making all the young female characters come in as saints. They should've done a Paris/RJ/Luna triangle from the jump with Luna as the vixen trying to steal RJ from Paris.

It's a shame she's finally interesting and they'll likely have to write her off.

And finally...it's said aloud.

Luna IS the killer. Well...I guess the plus to that is that the actress looks like she's going to give camp. lol. On the other hand, I guess it means that Brad Bell got tired of trying to make her and RJ happen. So does that mean RJ is leaving...or is he heading for a triangle with Will now that he's been aged up?

That cage in the house....lol...definitely camp.

So Bill and Justin DID make up off-screen? What a waste.

I finally saw the explanation episode.

And...that was actually plausible. Here I am thinking it might be complex because it couldn't be because Luna did not like being poor...and basically it WAS. lol. And everything lines up. Tom and when he died. Poor Hollis, which is why I figured it was Luna with that out of nowhere scene he had with Luna before Tom died. The Bill/Luna kiss. And I was happy to see Li vindicated...she's too much of a professional for me to believe she messed with the test.

Uh...why is Liam here? lol. He really has not a thing to do, but pick on Finn for what he has that Liam wants. Boy, BYE.

    • Tbf it's not unusual for a family when they are dealing with some bad news that changes a life to use song to give out hope.Especially black families. I personally had to deal with that very thing this weekend. Partly off putting, but at the same time, I did get the point and it gave me a bit of hope in the moment.      MM is definitely acting. But Smitty is just so passive. It could turn into quiet strength at some point, but for now...passive IMO.
    • Am I remembering correctly that the Madison's lived in a Spanish revival-style house? I have a vague recollection of the fireplace looking especially Spanish in style. It is unusual that Montecello had so many architectural styles.  Obviously, that might occur IRL.  But, look at other east coast soaps and there is a definitive style that is throughout (because it was styled by a set decorator) regardless of the income of the occupants.
    • @kalbir MSW was a powerhouse for CBS. Angela Lansbury was a superb actress. In 1985, TV viewers were tiring of the primetime soaps and the like. People wanted storytelling and MSW was great at that and had great guest stars. Storytelling -- an amazing and novel concept. CBS Daytime by 1985 was beating ABC so CBS was on the upswing.
    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
