I know he has his detractors, but I've always loved Rick Hearst. It was so easy for me to always root for Ric against Sonny/Carly and he had great chemistry with Becky Herbst and Nancy Lee Grahn. However, I hope that TPTB won't end up punishing him for being able to get one over on them in the past.

OMG! Of all the misbegotten characters to bring back, Sonny's damned brother. I mean I love Rick Hearst but I could not detest anyone - well hardly anyone - as much as I do this guy.

The Press I saw about the fall reset only named EK as HW

This warms my GL loving heart, as Ric was always my favorite Alan-Michael. 

 

Hopefully there are gripping and compelling stories accompanied with all these returns.

I always enjoyed seeing him in scenes as Alan-Michael, and think it's a shame he did come back prior to the finale. That would have been a nice return, especially following Michael Dietz & the less-than-stellar work by Michael Dempsey.
