I know a lot about the show that I don't reveal. It's hard to have sources for the past 25 years if you reveal all you know. Especially in regards to any strike writers!

That's certainly true. Never burn a source! I get that, honest. I wasn't meaning to in any way cast aspersion or blame or anything on you. Sorry if it came off wrong.

Their professional reputations are forever tainted.

I doubt that they would care.  Soap writers are not especially valued among the TV writing community. They might be more interested in working and earning money.

The guy cannot stop antagonizing his audience.  It is a shame that he didn't enjoy himself more, and not engage with those who did not approve of his ideas.

To me, it is not about the quality or popularity of the storyline, but why he persists in this troll-like persona online.  I follow him on Instagram, and he has an Instagram-ible life, a beach house, a lovely home in upstate, a loving family.  So, why keep fighting with an audience that didn't embrace him?

By all accounts, being number one on Peacock is an accomplishment, and it is a shame that he can't be satisfied by that, without throwing it back in the faces of his detractors.

I love how all the actors kissed Ron's butt for 7 years including Deidre until he's fired.  Ken knew Ron's "creative" talents from day 1.  Ken hired Ron on the double look a like plot (Bonnie and Hattie) in the first year of his reign of error.  Ron's expensive.  I would guess Paula and Jean are not quite commanding the same salary.  Perhaps, someone pointed out to Ken that Body and Soul was another OLTL regurgitated plot.  But it's not Ron's worst. There are so many plots to choose from, and Ken approved all of them.

It's like that at every single soap, though. You kiss the hand that feeds you until it doesn't anymore. I can only recall a small handful of actors who've talked in a not-so-glimmering light about their head writers while in the regime.

Well it makes sense not to criticize. Just professional really. I'm sure most actors realize the stress of headwriting a show

I'm sure the same holds for writers who are told to write for particular characters, who they don't like. If they had their way, those characters would be gone.

But they don't criticize the actor or character publicly.
