Not the show, but John Byrne is returning to do an alternate universe X-Men comic title that is being touted as possibly his final project:

Byrne made Elsewhen a while back on his website, I think. It's an odd one for sure but I am glad he got to do it.

I'd forgotten the legendary character actor John Colicos was the voice of Apocalypse in the original series, as well as of course playing Mikkos Cassadine on GH. Whoever they have doing it here is a pretty good ringer.

ETA: Apparently it's Ross Marquand, who also acted on The Walking Dead but has done a ton of voice work (including voicing the new Xavier in this show, and replacing Hugo Weaving onscreen as the Red Skull in Avengers Endgame). I'd never have known.
