I don't want to derail the thread, but in case anyone else was curious about this it's apparently this. Maybe we can set something up for it in the Foreign section when it gets closer if it looks half-decent (I am curious about the musical elements, which remind me of Jacques Rivette's musical Up Down Fragile).

What is this netflix soap? Lets set it up please! I need more details :)

"Andre Hamilton" to be. This video interview is about two years old. Betcha he never knew he'd end up on a daytime soap. Good for him. He seems very charismatic and I think I'm going to like him on the show.

Hmmm...why have that gap between the final episode of The Talk and the prmeire of BTG. Not that the shows cater to the exact same audience, but you're going to lose people who typically tune in at that time slot to stop and possible not give BTG a shot. JMO

I was trying to think of what soaps began so that I could theoretically have watched all episodes. Generations, Santa Barbara, The City, PC, Sunset Beach, GH: Night Shift & Passions. So, how did I do?

Watched every single episode: Generations, The City, PC. That's it.

Santa Barbara would have been impossible. My affiliate didn't even carry all of its seasons. Sunset Beach began with 1st day but not enough interest to continue. Passions, you don't even want me to get started. GH: Night Shift, no idea, maybe just not on my radar yet.

Now, I am so looking forward to BEYOND THE GATES! From Day one, forward!

So did they announce what will fill the slot?

If CBS (and P&G as they're in cahoots with BTG) were smart, they do what ABC did after The City got canceled and do a "Daytime to Remember" type show to fill the slot with classic episodes from ATWT & GL to draw eyes back to the time slot.

I asked this of Bing CoPilot (a chat type AI) & they indicated nothing announced yet but speculation that it would be encore episodes of 3 shows - "The Talk" itself, "Y&R" and "B&B". I would suggest what you do & specify:

ATWT when Holden first jumps down out of the barn loft & meets Lily & Dusty

ATWT Iva runs in screaming with pitchfork

GL Nola & Vanessa in the same formal ball gown

GL homage to Irna Phillips

GL 1st Jeva wedding, Cross Creek

And as far as classic episodes of ATWT goes, make sure some of those episodes contain Tamara Tunie's "Jessica Griffin" character appearing, because that would be fitting.

Great idea! Carla Mosley can be found in clips from both GL and B&B

This would be a phenomenal idea. Jessica was so pivotal in Marland's era that it would be enough to fill the time before the premiere of BTG. Also, they can have Tamara Tunie host the special and give an insight of those scenes. She can also tease BTG too.

This list is too Snyder heavy for me with ATWT. If they were to go the route I suggest, I want each episode to be Hughes-focused, and I'd prefer episodes to be from anything pre-2006 with the exception of the final episode, which I'd show the week leading up to the premiere of BTG. Also, I feel like those episodes are the go to episodes when they show classic ATWT episodes.

I wouldn't mind them showing episodes from Lisa's time at the Willows. Some episodes from 84 to 85, which aren't heavily accessible on YT at the moment. A few of Marland's final episodes. And then toss in 1-2 episodes from Hogan Sheffer's era.

With GL, it'd strictly be ANYTHING pre-1994 with the exception of Annie's "miscarriage" and the final episode (like ATWT) being show the week before BTG's premiere.
