I have to admit, and not being African American myself, I did get flashbacks of Florida Evans when Anita used “jive turkey” in the first episode. Is that term still used by some black folks of a certain age for those more culturally attuned?

Even I've used that term and I was born at the tail end of disco, lol.

hehe. I can vouch as well as my mother still using it and quite a few of my aunts. Heck, I'm not against saying it from time to time either. :)

Hilarious - when the “You’ve built these gates, but I see beyond them” dialogue was said on B&B, CBS flashed a quick graphic at the bottom of the screen that said BTG was premiering next.

Hehe. Love that.

Not sure how accurate it is, or if it is even accurate at all, but according to IMDb, these two "celebrities" are expected to appear on the show outside of the ones already announced:

  • Abby Lee Miller
  • Michelle Visage

Yeah, they've been listed for some time. Abby Lee Miller is from Dance Moms, and Michelle Visage is huge on Drag Race and from her radio days.

I have pointed this out before

From Here to Eternity NBC begin 2-14-1979

From Here to Eternity NBC end 2-28-1979

This is the mini series. The actual follow up weekly series did not premiere until March 1980

Cliffhangers NBC begin 2-27-1979

This was not a soap.

Oh, I know who they are. I'm even a fan of Michelle's.

When I started creating the list I didn't expect only their names to be the ones I listed as the rest aren't "celebrities" but the list of actors is already at nearly 60 even though only one episode has aired. In fact, some of the newer actors list themselves in nearly 30-40 episodes even though we haven't gotten to either number (not even close) yet.

Part of me feels like it's someone editing IMDb for their wishful castings.

Yes, and not just of a certain age or even race lol I feel like I’ve heard people of various races use that phrase my whole life. It’s a throwback to another era, but I still hear it.

Michelle is famous for not singing in her own girl group so I wonder if that'll tie in 😂
