Bold needs to be trimmed down to 5 minutes. They don't even try at this point. But that's fine. I feel like BTG is about to force all the shows to step their game up or get lost in the dust.

Bold should be moved to the 1:30 timeslot and BTG should follow YR.

Karma for what they did to ATWT.

I'm still wrapping my mind around 27 sets. BOLD can barely do 3 sets a month

Days is even worse. Their sets are less and so horrendous.

The cinematography on this show looks quite different than other daytime soaps. It reminds me of the Tyler Perry soaps on OWN.

I'm not at all sure that that would be a good thing.

Great quote. Reports have shown that white/mainstream audiences do not watch majority black productions because they don't empathize our identify with the characters. The irony is, black people see themselves in the characters when watching predominantly white shows all the time.

Yes, I love the quote. As to the rest, as a gay person, more than half my life all I saw was straight people. You just get used to it. This idea that white folks won't watch black folks is nothing but silly. I realize that you're saying it is not you endorsing it. But, I just think the time has come to get over sh*t like this!

I love CBS Sunday Morning. Even when they use the show promote CBS books and productions it's still an informative segment. This was a much needed attention boost.

Love Jane Pauley. Love this show. Not just for today but always.

Same. There's just too much scripted content out there right now. I love watching Only Murderers in the Building because it's 30 minutes so I can get through the season quickly. The 30-minute format would have been better. I suppose it has to do with the amount of advertising they're trying to sell.

Well, I just hope they know what they're doing. And also it's still a long time off. I'm hoping for more promotion, more videos, more teases, more BTS info. Basically, as you can tell, I just want MORE! BEYOND THE GATES LET'S GOOOOOO!

I won't be able to judge the sets or how they look till I see the first episode. Behind the scenes videos never look like the polished version. A different lighting can turn an ugly set into something beautiful.

For me, it really resembles TOLN's productions of AMC and OLTL.

But, I am sure the doors open the proper way.

I love seeing them with a diner, but I haven't decided yet. I need to see it 'in motion.'

It is specifically that 18 minute factor that makes people say that B&B is the easiest soap to watch, the easiest show to access! It literally demands the least of the viewer.

Back when we were cancelation crazy & the last 4 NY soaps all fell, they should all have been switched to half hour versions of themselves rather than be canceled. I believe it would have made enough of a difference!

Ah... it makes me so sad to think that all these soaps could have been saved if the time was right or they survived... 10 more years. But... coulda woulda shoulda. Now we have the future ahead of us. And it's going to be full of surprises.

At five minutes, all we'd get is the theme song and Sheila calling somebody a b*tch.

Yes, you're right. There's no good to come from dwelling on the lost New York soap scene. Onward to Beyond the Gates!

Not much time left. This is the countdown to my 30th birthday, so I'm very AWARE of it, LOL. The end of my youth is the beginning of a new chapter for soap operas. 😂

On Feb. 8 I become 74. Bette Davis famously said, "Old age is not for sissies." Bette was right.

That's perfect. I love the theme and Sheila calling someone a b*tch is enough for me at this point.

It's crazy to think of all the soaps that got canceled We were left with B&B! Stephanie's death should have been the end!

Any of us who had a deep love for any of the NY soaps tend to feel that the utter decimation of the once thriving NY soap scene is an exceedingly bitter pill.

Oh, I hold very high hopes for fantastic writing, directing & acting!

And, for the record I don't think MVJ has Mulcahey because if she did I think it would be boldy stated in press releases, posts & promotion in general.

We don't have any record to go on with Duckworth but there's just something about her & I like her. Plus, she just feels trustworthy.

I thought it was hilarious today that Michele Val Jean said that when she got the call from Duckworth she did not think it would come to anything, but, etc. What a journey she's been on from that point of totally understandable doubt to being in production!

What do people think of Julie Carruthers?
