My point was that the first episode was the same as the YouTube video posted by Soaps. Other variations might exist, but I'm referring specifically to the first of __ episodes that I saw which is the same one shown at tonight's Paley event (didn't attend). It's being said that a longer version aired the event but I'm not sure if they decided to extend the opening for just tonight's event for the episode or if they decided to add the longer one for the first episode when it airs on Monday.

Either way, what I know of it, it was the YouTube version thus far.

There are several X (Twitter) posts with the opening.  It is similar to the Y&R opening.

Wonder if Beyond the Gate will go “old school” P&G and have a sponsor tag at the beginning and end of the show?  “This part of Beyond the Gates is brought to you today by Bounty. Bounty is the quicker, picker, upper for cleaning up spills and messes.”

Vernon needs one too, because as much as they've made out of the Dupree name, they have no one to carry it on. The grandchildren are Hamiltons and Richardsons.

Sort of reminds me of Dark Shadows' Carolyn emphasizing Carolyn Collins Stoddard when she need to demonstrate her importance.

Re: the opening. Visually, it’s gorgeous (though I tend to prefer a title card to only show up once at the end). That theme music is totally dull and reminds me of The Haves and the Have-Nots. I like a melody!

Still enjoying the daily specials (I’ll look to see if the February thread is where that conversation is supposed to happen). The mention of when there 19 soaps on the air at once (March-September 1970) made me smile because in the midst of all the excitement of a new black-led soap, my heart still views and accepts BTG as yet another entry in the long, long history of my favorite genre.
