With the killing of Olivia Jerome, execution style, and Sonny giving Dex the choice to run or to be killed & his leaving Joss behind, it seems to me that suddenly the stakes are higher. If Dan & Chris were told on Wed. 1-17 and formally fired on Fri. 1-19 with the press being notified on Mon. 1-22, then, Patrick Mulcahey could have been talked with as early as Th. 1-18, is there any likely way he could've tweaked the script for yesterday?

I attended the Avery Pohl/Adam Huss Zoom event on Friday. Here is my report:

Adam Huss studied Tyler Christopher's performances in the role.

He is done with role for now and doesn't know if or when he will return.

I mostly ignored him and focused on Avery Pohl, the one I came to see.

Avery was informed during the writer's strike that she was being let go from the show. She continued working until the end of the year. The ship scene was her last day on the set. Frances McDormand's performance in the film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri was Avery's inspiration for her final scenes.

She didn't know if she was coming back to the show. We will have to wait and see. She is open to returning but doesn't think it will happen for a year or two. The new writers are bringing many changes and a revamp of the show.

Avery is auditioning for new roles and is committed to the entertainment industry. She studied real estate in college and turned against it. If she wasn't an actress she would be going to medical school. She takes acting classes once a week.

More facts:

-Joey Clay was the twin who played Ace the most often

-If she could play any character on the show, she would play Ava

-Her favorite co-stars are Genie Francis and Jon Lindstrom

-When she auditioned for the role, there were three other girls who tried out with Eden McCoy. One was a redhead and some of them had longer hair than her.

-When asked what superhero/villain she would like to play, she said she would play Catwoman in a heartbeat.

-She loves to travel. She once spontaneously went to India for a week, and then came back having to film the show at 4 AM the next day.

-Her father is a dentist, and she is a trained dental assistant who worked for him.

Thanks for the event report. My understanding of why Adam Huss doesn't have a contract. They like him very much. They spent time reconsidering what to do with the Cassadines. Have none or have some, etc. Maybe a more clear picture will come out of the new writing team. BTW, here's a picture of Nicholas Bechtel, today, at 19.

I would suggest that while Victor is dead-dead, that Spencer is only temporarily dead & most fans expect him to return from the dead. Some expect that to be NAC. Others expect a recast. And, there is some recent chatter that this may happen as soon as May. As Nik in prison is also temporary, it seems possible that in the near future if they decide to do so that there could be a Cassadine presence again. We will have to wait & see.

Now where is this information coming from.

A fan on NAC's Patreon says that right before he began filming with Ryan Murphy he told them he would be back after the filming.

Some fans of the Willow family have said that recently they said on IG that Spencer would be back in May.

TY for the info. I saw this posted over at the Soaps site. You must be KristinaFan there, same post nearly word for word. What happened to the story that APohl was finishing up some school courses? Was that just a garbage rumor?

What does this mean, "some fans of the Willow family"? Who said on IG that Spencer would be back? Sorry, it's confusing. Will there be those reported NAC pre-taped scenes that were so talked about here?

It was out this weekend several places, this photo of NAC with this text superimposed about him being back in May. And, this fan had posted it & I inquired where the information came from & they told me that this other fan who follows Katherine/Chad on their IG said it was on the Katelyn/Chad Willow family IG that Spencer will be back in May. So to me it is double hearsay. But the claim is the actors who play Willow & Michael are who has said it. There is no way to even begin to call it credible. That's why I referred to it as chatter.

The only part of any of this that confirms something else is from the Zoom. Avery Pohl said it was about 6 months ago when they told her they were restructuring the show & that dovetails perfectly with when I was told they were trying to decide what to do with the Cassadines. And why Adam Huss does not have a contract.

At Friday's Zoom the Zoom people complemented me when I pointed out that Avery's father was a dentist. Avery even thanked me for the answer. Zoom gave me a free ticket for the Vannna reunion today. I have just come from there. Here is what they said:

JPS's Disney show is not getting a third season. He is tied up with his family right now.

JPS has worked on GH for four days since October. He will work next in March under the new writers.

FH directed the stage play The Importance of Being Earnest.

GH is dark this week. FH is using the time to shoot a short film.

Eizabeth Korte started out as a fan and worked up to be head writer. JPS and FH both like her. she is an encyclopedia.

FH used to watch Santa Barbara every day.

If they were not in entertainment, JPS would drink more heavily. He would also be in oceanography. FH would teach sign language.

JPS says that Val wants to be the head of the Cassadine family.

I asked them what actors that they don't have scenes with would they like to work with. They both said Laura Wright. FH said the younger actors of the show. They both then heavily praised NAC. They said he worked at a car dealership before GH.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
