-- Like others here, I really enjoy Rena Sofer as Lois but hate the way she's currently written. The scenes with Olivia are painful to watch -- there's just way too much Brooklyn on the screen, and the audio make me reach for the Tylenol.

-- If Lois is still attached to the recording industry, I expect it to be as current as the writing for the Crimson story. The world knows that print magazines are DONE, and that even the surviving ones know they have to have digital success to survive. Does anyone at Crimson know that?

I imagine that will be an out of order day & that after it will go back to Dan & Chris scripts & then they will really end & new stuff start in earnest. Before Mulcahey had even been named publically a Jason re-entry script was dumped entirely & Korte was set to begin something from scratch.

-- OF COURSE Laura once again lays the hammer down on Nikolas, this time after we watched her give Esme one pass after another for MONTHS.

I'm sorry, but I think Laura is ridiculous and pathetic.

-- And Martin dumped Lucy? I don't think there's anyone who cares. I know I don't.

As fans we dodged a bullet with the script that was trashed! I've heard it was pretty appalling. Someone from the past, with a physical handicap now from some explosion, who had been held captive by a GH villain who had him brainwashed & set to assassinate Sonny & only Jason could save Sonny from this dire event. Oh my. Awful & formulaic.

The article says it starts an umbrella story by Mulcahey and Korte. Not that it's going to hopscotch between Mulcahey and Korte's new work and the old writers, which is not something I've ever heard of happening before.

Over the weekend, I left some negative comments on Antonio J Sabato's Instagram. So many people were falling all over him it was absurd, so I answered back.

In one post, I said I had no idea what his "truth" is...that he kept saying he'd tell us but never did.

Well, apparently Sabato is thin-skinned. He slid into my DMs. Not making that up.

All he said was "I’ll tell you the truth

I guess I'm in danger.

    • That's how I feel. Beats could have been played for the past couple months wherein Dante and Gio interacted and had a difference of opinion -- or something. I don't know. I do know that this crushing rant that blames everything on Gio is absurd. -- Reading over all the comments here about characters and couples, it's kind of amazing that we have any show left considering the number of times actors and writers and execs were given influence to make major character and story decisions. Too many cooks in the kitchen.
    • Lol. But Jeffrey was weak to mama. Leslie can go dead because anger is a great motivator via Martin defending HIS mama and just not taking ish altogether. This ain't how it should be. They need not run the show like this. It's too noticeable.
    • Oh, I see! You posted this on the general retro soap thread because of the voiceover.
    • Yeah, I agree. It's part of the reason I have shade picked on Martin's Secret being so on the backburner that it was about to fall off of it. With Dani/Bill/Hayley being the main tale to start us off and backburned and the SilkPress storyline being well paced, but not set to explode until May, Martin's Secret was the other main storyline that could have been developed. And after giving it a nice slow burn to start off, the story upped and vanished in Month 2. That left the show having to rely on mostly B/C stories to stay afloat to various degrees of success.
    • I loved those scenes, lol. I thought I was watching a stage play. But I do hear what you're saying.
    • Jason47's episode summaries clarify everything. https://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1990-1999-t14806-s150.html The construction company is "AJ Construction" (AJ = Adrienne+Justin).   Jencon Oil was building an oil refinery at the construction site.  This was adjacent to the park. Kirk Geiger played the character Chad Webster. The character Chad was an actor in the movie being made.   The child friend with Shawn-Douglas is his cousin Andrew Donovan. A few episodes prior, Andrew and Shawn-Douglas were at the park playing hide-and-seek. They wandered off where they shouldn't have gone, by slipping through the gate onto the construction site.  Shawn-D fell into the hole at the oil refinery. There were several episodes of trying to rescue Shawn-D.  Finally Carly rescued Shawn-D, but he was discovered to be deaf.  Andrew felt bad, but Bo and Shane both understood that it was an accident.  Carly later taught Shawn-D sign language. Shawn-D was played by Scott Groff. Andrew was played by Bradley Michael Pierce. pics here: https://web.archive.org/web/20070404163013/http://www.childrenofsalem.com/days/kids/shawnandrew/shawnandrew.html Larger context here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.htmlhttps://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.html
    • I had a situation last week where I could watch the new episode on Paramount Plus on my laptop, but it wasn't even listed on my TV as an option.
