GH does not have a different casting policy-see all the OLTLers and Carlys lol.

I remember thinking MM did a pretty good job with Liz.   Again, she's capable just not my personal fave.  I wouldn't rule her out.  She's just not at the top of my list to employ.

The Hulu uploads of GH have never been consistent.  They are late all the time and I do remember some of the episodes around the Nurse's Ball not appearing until the next day.  This is the latest it has ever been, but I have never been able to set my clock by them being up by 8PM ET.   Obviously the reps were confused, but it really would make no sense for Hulu just to stop showing GH on a Friday after showing the entire week lol.   Idk, with Hulu it seems like they put the episodes up when they get them and they always show up eventually.

Okay but, why is it always on Friday & never any other day? If ABC is negligent, wouldn't you expect it to be random?

Yep, me, too. Once I found the day's episode at the very bottom of the stack of two weeks worth of episodes! And that can be any day.

Fridays are special because they're so regularly not available till whenever you wake up on Saturday. Then this past Friday's it was whenever I woke on Sunday!

We talked a little tiny bit about CHINA BEACH because of Jeff Kober. It showed up this weekend in an article about the 10 most wanted shows that are not streaming as #6 in very good company. In case anyone is interested TV Shows Not Streaming: Homicide, Ed, Knots Landing, Moonlighting – TVLine

Is there a rule that Esme has to be holding her kid in every episode? Is that supposed to symbolize that she's a good mother? Meanwhile, Spencer gets to stand there pretty much doing nothing.

In other news, when does Gladys disappear from my screen???

Considering they brought in Tamara Braun as Kim Nero, among other multiple recasts, it wouldn't surprise me if Madison were OK'ed for the Sarah recast. But yes, it is partially why I'd choose her as Sarah. I remember Madison's time as Elizabeth and being really impressed. She came in, at a key storyline for Elizabeth, and she did amazing work. And I feel like she'd work well with Rebecca Herbst.

Ultimately, Bethany Joy Lenz is my top choice of Sarah recast, but with Madison no longer at Days of Our Lives, it'd be a chance to snatch her up.

Lenz would be really good, but she's a little young?   Obviously BH looks amazing for her age, but I think Lenz still projects pretty young as well.  It all depends on how you write Sarah.  MM would be good for a colder, more serious Sarah, but BJL would be good as a warmer, fun Sarah.

Lenz is 42 years old, which is two-years older than Sarah Laine, who played the role in 2002, and four years younger than Jennifer Sky. Madison is 46, so she would match Sky's age. I would think Sarah would be colder, given how warm Elizabeth seems to be. You would want that opposite kind of sibling, right? Plus, it'd be hilarious to see Lenz & Rebecca Budig as sisters, considering they were both Michelle Bauer on Guiding Light. I think both Lenz & Madison could be good, especially depending on how they're portrayed, per your own accord.

    • I'm anticipating most of the cast at the Nice location for a few weeks a la the Tuscan villa for Victoria and Ashland's wedding. I don't know why they bother. I'd rather see the money going into more regular home/office sets. This party has been a bust. No secrets revealed, break ups  etc. Ugly decorations and I'm going to slam the costuming again. Just the guests heaping praise on  Nikki  like she's achieved some magnificent milestone rather than just getting a year older.

In the loving arms of his wife, Dr. Marlena Evans, John took his last breath at the end of the June 2 episode, after suffering devastating internal injuries during a lab explosion. The iconic character went out as he lived — a hero. Sensing the fans’ devastation on Monday, Marlena’s portrayer Deidre Hall posted this simple-but-powerful message to fans on Instagram: “I know. I know. Hardest day ever.”

    • Now coming into June...well...   I knew it was coming but I didn't like the start to the next round of Dani/Bill/Hayley. As the 3 A plots from the start of the show (The SilkPress storyline and Martin's Secret being the other two), it needed to be benched for a while to develop those characters and allow other characters and storylines to grow. 3 months in, Hayley is the weak link, Dani is still divisive, but not boring, and Bill has been making his mark with some plots faster than others. So last week seeing the story starting to loop back around to them with Hayley's potential pregnancy, I honestly had mixed feelings.   I get it. The SilkPress storyline is currently in aftermath/next turn mode, so it has to be moved into a C plot position. Moreso if we want to keep the very talented Miss Trish around. And I love how clever the writers are being with the storyline. They give us enough in the episodes and are still playing out beats to keep the appetite fed. I don't feel like anyone is being dumbed down to keep her around. And Trish is giving nuances in her alone scenes with NuTed. I shouldn't care for a clear psycho, but she be selling it. That said...I wish they had given us a little more of the Martin's Secret storyline in the last week of the month though I loved the game of cat and mouse Bill did on Martin and Smitty to keep the storyline alive and active after it had a nice build beginning of May and vanished for a week mid-May. And it appears like it's about to go back to the backburner as an A plot which of course leaves the A plot of Dani/Bill/Hayley.   I am probably in the minority as someone who is not anti-Dani here and even she annoyed the heck out of me last week. In character true, but I just felt like there was a way to get all of that across without it feeling like...as I've said before...one step forward, two steps back...and have it feel organic. I liked Hayley got a little bit of edge with her, but she still ain't no match for Dani. And it reminds to be seen if we should be going back to that well of a story yet.   Now about today's show...   And I thought Tracy was bad! lol. But YES. Sharon has been worth the wait. And so has Anita's story! Finally having TT in the limelight. This has been a nice slow burn for me and a nice B plot. And the actress is good. The wig is giving. And her holding what Anita's secret is over her head and threatening to tell Vernon....Ooooo...that is what I was waiting for.    And speaking of bad...I thought Eva vs Kat was a great rivalry. But I am loving the rivalry that is growing with 'Nancy Drew' and Silk Press Sheila! They both get good licks in and are so cunning with each other. And I definitely have liked that since the anniversary party, that it has been growing. Now that Kat has been proven right, she has not backed down. And neither has SilkPress. And we got a 'Ms. B@tch' moment, too? LOVE. Eva coming up with a trump card was delicious and so 90s Sami Brady. GOOD. And the coda with Jacob and the expert...YES. The Silk Press storyline has been the best paced on the show so I love that the aftermath of the anniversary party continues to be so...barring one flaw...well for me. Not enough Nicole's POV.   And I like the C plots on display. And by that, I mean Chelsea with Vernon. And it made me wonder what the writers have plan for her love life now that the throuple is over with. I was watching her and going awww.   And of course the mystery man around Martin. I am starting to wonder if he really even works at the country club given how he made a run for it. That would be a twist.    Speaking of Martin...good to see him in scenes with his father and mother.    I'm getting used to NuTed.    I felt the last episode of May was a bit of a letdown, but this was a very nice recovery.
    • Unless they cut him, I'd think he would stay. Surely, he didn't choose to return because he expected high quality. I figure he gets to work when he wants and spend a lot of time doing his own thing and being with his family.
    • The writing for Liz and Lucky is indeed terrible, but if JJ signed a one-year contract he may be gone in a couple of months anyway. Perhaps they’re just cutting their losses.
    • That would be his older sister Stacey. She was the center of a big story back in the day. Nola was out to snag medical student Kelly Nelson, who she thought would provide her with the life she craved. He was in love with a girl named Morgan. Nola plotted to get pregnant by him, but couldn't manage to get him in bed. So she seduced Floyd, who thought she was in love with him. When she knew she was pregnant, she got Kelly drunk and made sure he woke up next to her in bed. Kelly believed her when she told him he made her pregnant. They were about to elope to Las Vegas, but her mother ratted her out and Kelly abandoned her. She almost married Floyd, but jilted him at the altar. She went to work for Quint. When the baby came prematurely, Kelly saved both of them. She named the baby Kelly Louise to irk Morgan, who was now married to Kelly. When she fell in love with Quint, she had a change of heart over all the trouble she had caused, so she changed the baby's name to Anastasia Louise, shortened to Stacey. Quint was a devoted stepfather and Henry treated her like his own granddaughter.  After Quint and Nola leave SF, I believe Stacey is never seen again. Which is odd, you would think they would have brought her back with Nola and J, but they never did.
