The thing about Leo/Dmitri is that Leo is easily discarding the most genuine relationship he has on the show.  Like it or not, Gwen/Leo has been shoved in our faces and Leo just immediately trashed that relationship to jump into bed with Dmitri.  I thought he had some loyalty to Gwen, but none at all.   Gwen is awful, but she has literally done nothing to deserve this treatment from Leo or Dmitri.

As far as Wendy, I thought when she was introduced she was quite spunky and different.  She's turned into a standard heroine at this point and she is boring.

Deidre loves a blazer.  Deidre has loved a blazer since forever.  Of course she has 1000's.  I hate the look and actually think her sleep/loungewear looks much better, but her blazers have been a thing for decades now.  Pair it with a flannel and she's raring to go.

The age difference is pretty much the same, though. Besides, I think the whole age thing plays differently once a character is in his 60s.

Why the hell would they want Wendy when they can have each other?

I did have to laugh at both actors smiling right before they knew they were to go into that BroHug+ move LOL. Tripp became interesting for about 10 seconds.

It looked hot the BroHug I really want you hug.😂  Johnny has always given me bisexual vibes from day one. I'm sure Tripp would play too.😂 They're hotter than the whole Dimitri and Leo mess.

You forget how both Leo and Gwen railroaded each other on pining a murder on the other. They friendship is bogus.

I imagine the blazers have a room of their own. They'd pretty much have to.

I don't hate it. I just accept it.

You are right I did conveniently forget that.  😂  So fair...

At this point though I think they moved passed that and are bff's again?  Anyhow, I think it's really crappy to do to someone you claim is your friend.  It's gross.  There really isn't a good reason to just let Gwen in on the plan.

Maybe someone can explain to me why Wendy is worth getting into a huge beatdown fight over. I really have no idea what makes her special.

Well, it doesn’t have to be just over Wendy lol they rehashed everything in their scenes today. I didn’t realize how many reasons Tripp and Johnny had to really hate each other. And all this stuff with Wendy could be the spark that finally sets off the dynamite.

And honestly, I just want to see a good fight 😂 It doesn’t have to be Tripp/Johnny. It could be Eric/EJ, Chad/Alex, Brady/Xander, etc.

Heres that Shawn vs Philip fight that I referred to. The camera work sucks lol but this was a good one.

I don't think Leo is unlikable because of GR's performance. I think he generally does a good job with what he's given. It's just largely Too Much of what should be a very, very supporting character, and they've done too many fake-outs where he seems to learn a lesson and then regresses with no explanation. And it irritates me that they seem to craft entire scenes and scenarios around giving him these pithy one-liners that would largely be funny in isolation but feel like they come at the expense of solid storytelling, characters I care about, or even basic logic.

Of course, there's the larger problem that they don't know where the line is with him hitting on every straight man he comes across. It's one thing for him to make a comment to Gwen about how hot Xander is, but the constant sexual harassment is a bad look.

One thing that I struggle with, with GR in the role, is that he's very clearly a guy in his mid-40s. It seems like Leo was conceived and introduced as someone who was supposed to be, like, 28, and they still write him that way. But I'm sitting there going, "This man is 45 and should know better." That factor aside, I don't think the casting is an issue with Leo.

Just like with a lot of characters on the canvas, it was too much and they were taken too far. And fans got tired of it.

And agreed, that maybe they should’ve cast a younger actor to play Leo.

They definItely should go there with Tripp and Johnny. Flush the girl.😂

I knew there was something to get you to keep watching 😂😂

There did seem to be a lot of subtext in those scenes

Sounds similar to a certain young blonde over on GH 😂😂😂

Only difference is that Gwen kind of deserves it after all the things she’s done

That's just what I was thinking yesterday when Dimitri was trying to convince Leo.  Leo's got nothing to lose from telling Gwen everything and using it to sell newspapers.

When Tripp put his hand behind Johnny's back I thought he was going to kiss him.

Well, I hate to defend Joss but even she wouldn't sleep with Spencer to prove he's no good for Trina lol.  That's like a Sonny thing to do lol

Gwen deserves it, but it would be more satisfying coming from Sarah or something.  Not someone who is her bff.  It makes me feel slightly bad for her.

There was no reason not to tell Gwen to begin with.  I assume she would have been fine with it.  And then she could have caught feelings and realized Dmitri and Leo were a thing.  Now she just looks like a fool and it's a bad look for everyone involved instead of a difficult situation of fighting feelings with nuance.

More misogynistic writing from Ron?

I don't interpret it as misogyny, but I think Ron often uses the trope of failing in romantic relationships to try to garner sympathy for an unlikable character.

(Oh man, I just realized that I defend him far too often...)

Yup.  And it's just a missed oppurtunity to make the story have more layers.  Not that I am advocating a Gwen/Leo/Dmitri triangle, but it's like the ending and 'root' for couple have already had sex in one episode.  No longing, no progression of feelings-it's so rushed as usual.

It happens lol back when I started watching OLTL, I thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread 😂😂

And i used to think something similar about garnering sympathy but after what happened with Nancy last year, I started thinking there was some misogyny there. The way that storyline was written was just gross.

And that’s what ruined it.

@AbcNbc247 I don't have the video, just the still. I use it as a banner pic. Scott McKinsey directed the scene & he suggested they use a jab instead of the roundhouse they usually throw.

@j swift  In my opinion Ron definitely has misogyny in his wheelhouse but it's not like it's strange to have it in DAYS
