Webmaster Errol Posted May 10, 2023 Webmaster Share Posted May 10, 2023 During the week of May 1-5, 2023, every daytime broadcast show was virtually even with their week ago performances in the all-important Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 sales demographics, except for “The Young and the Restless” (3.411 million) which was down a tenth in both Women 18-49 (0.3 rating vs. 0.4 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.5 rating vs. 0.6 rating). The second half-hour of “Let’s Make a Deal” was down a tenth in Women 25-54 (0.4 rating vs. 0.5 rating). In Total Viewers, “GMA3: What You Need to Know” (1.514 million) and “TODAY 3rd Hour” (1.960 million) gained the most viewers week-to-week, up +36,000 viewers and +34,000 viewers, respectively. Both half hours of “Let’s Make a Deal” (2.330 million / 2.7 million), “The Young and the Restless” and “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” (1.482 million) were the only other shows to see week-to-week increases in viewers. Compared to the same week two years ago, “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” (2.956 million) continue to outperform their 2021 results, adding +141,000 viewers and +190,000 viewers, respectively. The only other show to manage an increase of over 100,000 viewers was “The Talk” (1.427 million), which added +103,000 viewers over its performance in 2021. Speaking of “The Talk,” in Households, the show dropped a tenth week-to-week, hitting a 0.9 rating. The show was also down year-to-year (0.9 rating vs. 1.0 rating) and tied for last place in Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 rating. It was beaten by “NBC News Daily” (1.066 million) in the unrounded demos. What follows is a breakdown of how the daytime broadcast shows performed during the week of May 1-5, 2023 in Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 rating, including a look at their comparable performance last year (2022) and two years ago (2021), respectively.
