A "get" in terms of hiring for TV and film is a person who is well known with a following of sorts (like a social media influencer -- gag) or an award-winning talent highly sought after by various TV/film productions for their services. Quality has nothing to do with it, per se.

The best example is Corn Kid on B&B earlier this week. While several months too late, the original TikTok video of him garnered nearly 11 million views which means people who don't watch B&B could potentially tune in to see the Corn Kid because his appearance was promoted. Quality had nothing to do with it.

Quality never has anything to do with B&B.  In fact, whenever B&B sees quality approaching, it runs for its' life, like the lone survivor in a "Friday the 13th" movie.

It should also be noted that since Peacock got that Hallmark deal, getting Peter Porte on the show aligns well with that and allows for further synergy between those movies and DAYS. I'm not surprised they brought him back based on that alone; it's good marketing.

If DAYS could ever hope for a real "get", it would be Jennifer Aniston doing a one-day role during the same time they honor Victor Kiriakis / John Aniston.  I don't suppose Julia Roberts would want to drag her ass to Horton Town Square to stand next to that pitiful "Julia's Flowers" stand that's collecting dust.

It would make more sense for him to be back in Salem if Carly Manning or Frankie Brady were still around since they are Von Leuschners or even the Alamain's.   Unless they are planning on bringing Crystal Chappell or Billy Warlock back, I just cannot get too thrilled about this person coming on with no ties to the canvas and why Kate???  It would make more sense if he had Vivian kidnapped and called Stefan for ransom!!
