And only roughly 30% of them voted. Who are those other 70%?

Probably marking themselves as “present” like those Congressmen do when they don’t want to take a vote either way.👀

38 % of membership voted of that it passed 78 to 22%

In 2020 27% of membership voted passing it by 74%

The strike authorization in July had 46% of membership voting with 98% Approval

Some actors just didnt vote, others were not current on dues and could not vote

As noted in the article: Members added to the Fi-Core list this year includes Sheri Anderson, a former head writer and current story consultant at “Days of our Lives,” Mark Pinciotti, a producer at “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and Michael Minnis, the co-head writer of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

No one from "General Hospital" has been named, but allegedly people have been installed based on why there are picketers there. My understanding is the show does have long-term scripts already written prior to the strike, so that could also be the reason why no one has been formally named right now, maybe down the line.

I have noted elsewhere here that Sheri also wrote for GH in her past life of actively always writing.

EXCLUSIVE: "General Hospital" targeted by picketers during WGA strike, allegedly utilizing "Fi-Core" writers. Plus, find out who has gone "Fi-Core" in 2023.

@Errol  Not sure why you said in your June 2023 article that Sheri is "current story consultant".

Per @JAS0N47  Sheri stopped being story consultant as of the episode airing January 7, 2019.

There's no official indication that Sheri is writing at DAYS specifically. Only she has opted to go "Fi-Core." It can be ascertained that she did so to write for DAYS, but we won't know until sometime in 2024.

The word "ascertained" implies certainty. I think you meant it's a reasonable assumption, since you said we wouldn't know until later.

And it's possible that we might not ever learn with certainty who was writing during the strike.

Were any of the soaps picketed during the last strike?

Sorry, just seeing this now. GH was picketed last strike, too, just like they were this time.

Re-reading the article I don't know why I used the word "current," but I just checked her IMDb page, and I vaguely recall it looking different than it does today, meaning it still listed her as a story consultant but now it says she was there only through 2019. It could be why I used "current," or I accidentally wrote it. I just really can't recall right now.

Taking out the word "current," everything else lines up though.

So you don’t know what Sheri’s role at Days was during the strike?

(I don’t think Sheri would’ve bothered going fi-core for GH. Going fi-core is a permanent blemish on a writer’s career and is not looked at fondly by Guild members)

I was told she wrote for the show during the WGA strike, hence why she went Fi-Core. I'm just noting that I don't recall right now why I wrote "current" story consultant in the article @janea4old referenced from June that I wrote.

It is interesting that she only came back while Ron was unavailable.

It's possible Sheri Anderson went Fi-Core and wrote for DAYS during the strike as a favor to Ken Corday, as it's probably likely she's otherwise out of the business.

I sincerely doubt Ken had anything to do with it. He was totally checked out by this point and the fired guy was in full tyrant mode.

Her business isn't writing for soaps but it is related to talent & show business. If indeed she was at DAYS I imagine she really wanted to do it.
