I can tell Mark Lawson and Josh Kelly apart because Mark is the hot one. End of.

Like JK has never looked like this a day in his life.

Oh god I feel like a Days of Our Lives poster.

Maybe now I should read the rest of the thread.

This show I'm telling ya just blows my damn mind. OMG. Gurl. You know what I'm sayin'? I mean, I watch DAYS, B&B, and I'm kind of watching Y&R (It's all my mom's fault as she's an evil, vindictive human being, lol!). But, I come to Port Charles, and this soap just reeks of filth. Filth I tell ya!

You must elaborate for me.

Yesterday's show was oddly paced. It should have started with the immediate aftermath of the explosion. Valentin was suddenly fine. Anna disappeared. Laura was offscreen most of the episode. Victor was just dead. Not presumed, a body and everything (not that that matters).

And then we had yet another episode in which Joss vented to Dex the entire hour. They are boring and add nothing to the narrative. Dex never contributes to the discussion, he just sits there and listens like an unqualified therapist.

I can never support Sprina. I hate Spencer and I don't like the Trina actress.

I hate Dex and Josslyn. They are fast forward material.

Characters I would get rid of: Gladys, Gregory, Carly, Dex, Portia, Taggert, Marshall, Maxie, Lucy, Olivia, Stella, and Brad.

And you know what? I'm not even a couples fan. I love my bad girls, but even that scene was sickening. Absolutely disgusting.

Deep down in this black heart of mine, I think I'm starting to believe in love again.

Completely, and one episode last week was, too. I feel like we went from Michael calling for an ambulance for Willow and then suddenly TJ was pushing Michael out of the room. It's like they cut Willow arriving at the hospital. Plus, Anna all of a sudden is in London? Where is Holly in all of this? What happened with Robert and the WSB agent?

Dex & Josslyn are purely a sexual couple. I can guarantee the moment a date happens it will be boring as ever-loving f**k.

    • Well, that is weird. I do not see him but I only have him on Ignore on 2 accounts.
    • In the preview for the show back in February on Entertainment Tonight, Jeresa the costume designer was specific about each character's economic background, personality, and the character's personal fashion preferences.  Very much about the characters and not the actors. She said Eva is a thrifter, so her normal daily wardrobe would be something from a thrift store, and if BTG buys it new, they intentionally make it look used. So what you said fits about the type of thing a lower income person would buy for a fancy event.
    • As hard as it is for me to imagine anyone but Don Stewart as Mike Bauer...I dunno...maybe someone like "Adam-12"'s Kent McCord?  Or Robert Hogan?
    • Yep I don't hate Javi and then he's macking on Leo and I'm done with him. Leo is a failure who needs to go away   I am bracing myself for Alex reading the manuscript and imagining him and Stephanie as the main characters, because this couple has literally nothing else to do until Joy comes back showing
    • Oh yes. The towel scene though
    • Interesting that Donald May has been mentioned twice. He's on my dreamcast list for Alan. He was somewhat older than Stewart and Bernau, but he could have played either role. An actor I thought about for Mike was Dan Hamilton. He played a role on GL during the 60s, but enough time had passed that it shouldn't have been a problem. He usually played smarmy characters but it would have been cool if they had gone against typecasting.
    • I like Jed Allan, it has to be someone who can play authority but "good" authority to oppose Alan's bad. As mentioned upthread, can you imagine how it would have been with Alan and Mike against each other, with Roger in the mix. But I would have had Roger, ever the opportunist to try to take advantage of their fighting to make his own headway.  Maybe that could have been the storyline, Mike involved with Alex, but the constant fighting with Alan causes a rift (she like Mike fighting Alan when it is to her advantage, but he can be a bit self righteous and I can see him demanding her to disavow Alan publicly..) so that is how Roger lands in her bed, much to the consternation of BOTH Alan and Mike. I would like to have a woman of a certain age being fought over by two men (really three if you count Alan.
    • Please let May have less garbage time. The Y&R threads have shrunken, whereas I can barely keep up with the Beyond the Gates threads.
    • The Liam cancer story was a failure from day one. It didn't start at point A but at a late point C. My aunt had brain cancer, and it isn't being told properly or correctly.
    • OMG, did Gio look good. Do not get me started on how good he looked. Lord. It's as if the writers realized Lulu had almost no scenes with her mother, so they wrote all this material for a 2-day Lulu/Laura therapy session. It was nice to see them connect, but I scratched my head yesterday when Lulu tried to connect her adoption story to Laura's life. That was a stretch to me, and I sign the writers were working overtime. Today, the script eventually got to the right place, but I thought it was overboard to see Lulu so worked up that she was near tears. That's investment in a story that's become an obsession.
