The 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, #DaytimeEmmys

Nominations for “The 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” were announced today and CBS led the charge receiving 41 total nominations, more than any other company or network (see full list of nominees).

“The Bold and Beautiful” received 14 nominations, the second highest amount behind only ABC’s “General Hospital.” “The Young and the Restless” received 13 nominations. Both daytime dramas received recognition in the category of Outstanding Daytime Drama Series. “The Talk” received two nominations.

CBS Media Ventures received 12 nominations, including seven for “The Drew Barrymore Show.” Also recognized in each of their respective categories were “Entertainment Tonight,” “Hot Bench,” “Inside Edition” and “Rachael Ray.”

In the acting categories, four nominations were received by CBS talent in Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actress (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood from “The Bold and the Beautiful”; Sharon Case, Melissa Claire Egan, and Michelle Stafford from “The Young and the Restless”) and three nominations in Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor (Thorsten Kaye from “The Bold and the Beautiful”; Peter Bergman and Jason Thompson from “The Young and the Restless”). 

Krista Allen from “The Bold and the Beautiful” was recognized with a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actress, while Henry Joseph Samiri, also from “The Bold and the Beautiful,” was recognized with a nomination for Outstanding Younger Performer in a Daytime Drama Series.

Outstanding Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series nominations included Cassandra Creech from “The Bold and the Beautiful” and Robert Newman from “The Young and the Restless.”

Incorporating the linear network and its syndicated programming, CBS received nominations in the top show categories, including Outstanding Daytime Drama, Outstanding Show and Host (see below).

  • “Hot Bench” – CBS Media Ventures, Syndicated

Taking place at the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles, “The 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” is set to air LIVE on Friday, June 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET/delayed PT. The telecast will also be available to stream live and On Demand on Paramount+*. Additional winners will be announced during “The Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmys,” which will occur the following night, Saturday, June 17, at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT, airing exclusively online via Watch.TheEmmys.TV and related apps.

*Paramount+ Premium subscribers will have access to stream live via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service and On Demand. Essential-tier subscribers will have access to On Demand the day after the special airs.
