Yep, JMW/Steffy really have been central to B&B's success during the past decade.

Fun fact: After KKL/JMcC, Heather Tom is the 3rd (2007) and JMW is next (2008) - minus the yearish when she left. I excluded KB and SK because they've had multiple years off and any recurring actors.

If JMW wants it, she could follow KKL's path. Steffy certainly is a character that has plenty of stories left to tell. I can't imagine this domesticated version will last much longer. It's like they've 'Hoped' her...

Well this is her 15th year in June, and she's THE MOST POPULAR CHARACTER on the show internationally, second only to Brooke/KKL

Don't make me slap you for that lol! and it will last, it's called MATURITY, she's got kids now, she can't do the same sh*t she did 10 or 15 years ago,  Steffy is still a messy character

Character's do have to grow at some point, and Steffy has grown and matured unlike Brooke, Donna,  and even Hope to an extent, who have yet to do so

@dragonflies MATURITY - with Brad at the helm? The same guy who thought it'd be great to have Sheila *kill* her own son? I'd love to see at least one couple on the show stay solid and stick together no matter what challenges are thrown at them...but Brad is now pushing Hope toward Thomas - the man who kept her in the dark about Beth, pretended he was dead and on and on and on! Brad simply can't help himself.
