Members janea4old
Like we guessed, they are using the actor images from the 50th photoshoot. https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/62226-yr-50th-anniversary-cast-photo/ https://www.paramountpressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/shows/the-young-and-the-restless/photos/?page=1&brand=cbs-entertainment&type=gallery&limit=
Members Faulkner
I was just saying it reminded me of the title font for Homefront. Please register in order to view this content

Members Faulkner
I like the idea of B&W to color but it just doesn’t work very well here. If they had a budget and could update it, it would be of course cool to have a B&W pencil sketch to color live-action thing, but that’s a nice dream for a soap, especially in 2023. Members janea4old
They got rid of the headless Michelle Stafford silhouette at the end. And now there is a headless MTS/EB silhouette at the very beginning. Edited March 22, 2023 by janea4old

Members dragonflies
I think I'd like the opening more WITHOUT the background as it is and I think the B&W looks better with the red font than the B&W to COLOR does Better quality

Members Darn
It's crazy because they could have paid an artist (or shît use a fücking photoshop action) a few grand to do sketches of the cast, which wouldn't even need to be updated regularly since the cast is 90% vets, as a homage to the classic opening. But no, instead we get this low rent we-don't-care-we-just-hope-our-check-clears bullshît. I can't believe they're okay with airing this on national television. This is, for me, worse than GL's last decade of openings because at least they had an excuse as a show that spent 20 years trying to keep its head above water. Y&R has been the crown jewel of daytime for 30 years and they think this is okay? Ridiculous. Embarrassing. Throw it all away.
