It was nice seeing Nick today, even though I hate that he’s like a demon now. He wasn’t born a bad, homophobic guy lol and his dialogue sounded like it was written for Leo.

And I know that they want us to have sympathy for Alex but I just don’t. I think that it has more to do with RSW then the writing though. Even the way he delivered his lines today, it still seemed like he was just trying to manipulate Stephanie into feeling guilty, rather than being genuinely sorry for his actions

I wonder who had "just sent" RSW the info?  Was it from a Peacock exec or DAYS producer? or was it from twitter or a fan?

Obviously PR wizz Stephanie is to blame.

How do you go from rocket ship pacing to spinning your wheels in purgatory like this? Zzzz.

Chad's ass on that stool though... 😍

I would be curious what they say in them all about how Days is faring on Peacock.

I'm going to follow up with this on Toups' ratings thread. I'll ask there if @Toups  or @Errol knows how it's determined how DAYS is doing on Peacock.

Good thoughts. Good idea. TCA is super important but it is also ALL about promoting the show to the rooftops if at all possible!

I know the GH panel had more actors & that they said a whole lot & that Genie used it as a vehicle to say some things about the rape that needed saying years ago. I'm sure peacock was the most important part to Robt & Dee.

Agreed. I don't like Alex at all.

And thanks! 😄

I have NO sympathy for him either but I don't know if that is my bias.

I just feel defeated because I think there's a banner in the Writers Room that says

Stephanie & Chad = Job One! And if we don't like it, we can just shove it.

That's because Ron loves this garbage!  The scenes with Bo in heaven went on forever too.

So, is disliking Alex a Majority Stockholders Position?!! I like it. I'm so accustomed to Minority Holdings. And, yes, thanx!! 🫵🫰😂

This was at the TCA event where Deidre and RSW gave a ton of press interviews. They were there to promote DAYS for Peacock.  It was their job to hype the show.

I wonder who had "just sent" RSW the info?  Was it from a Peacock exec or DAYS producer? or was it from twitter or a fan?

Deidre and RSW did a lot of interviews that day (you can recognize them because Deidre is wearing the same outfit in them all).  They did interviews in person at the TCA event, and also Deidre did some interviews via video chat on various TV stations, etc.  I don't have the time/energy/inclination to look them all up.  I would be curious what they say in them all about how Days is faring on Peacock.

I'm going to follow up with this on Toups' ratings thread. I'll ask there if @Toups  or @Errol knows how it's determined how DAYS is doing on Peacock.

Depending on how one considers itself #1, sure “Days of our Lives” is tops on Peacock. However, according to Nielsen, “Yellowstone” is officially the most watched show currently on Peacock.

RSW could mean “DAYS” is the most watched original series on Peacock, or the most watched Peacock original series, but technically the streaming service has yet to brand the soap as an “original series.” The Peacock Original label is no where to be found on the show’s official logo and, unless I’m mistaken, the credits have yet to state it as such.

Finally found the article with RSW claiming Days as the #1 streaming show on peacock.

In a chat with TvLine, actor Robert Scott Wilson shared that Days of Our Lives has emerged as Peacock’s number-one streaming show. With the success that the soap has garnered post it’s move has ensured that the head honchos of Peacock will remain invested in DOOL. In the beginning, when the former NBC soap started streaming online, the only thing that was different was the soap’s address. The whole story and vibe of the sudser remained unchanged. This was largely due to the fact that the episodes are filmed months in advance. Thus, they were NBC episodes that were streaming on Peacock.

Several stars of Days of Our Lives spoke to Soaps.com about their experience regarding the shift. Additionally, they also hinted at what the future holds for the iconic soap. Actor Stephen Nichols (Steve) shares that Peacock wants to keep the association going as the numbers are great. Thus, the cast and crew of the soap is not worried about their future on the project anymore. The soap is on Peacock to stay. He also pointed that the episodes that were originally filmed for NBC have already been streamed and a new round of filming will start.

Actress Tina Huang jumped in and exclaimed that it’s a fantastic thing. Now that Days of Our Lives is streaming online, it has opened the doors to so many things they couldn’t previously do. The new episodes will be filmed according to online streaming perspective. However, this does not necessarily mean it will be all crass and sex and drugs. The soap can now touch upon sensitive topics that they didn’t earlier. Honestly, even for NBC, the soap already discussed abortion and showed a threesome. That’s pretty bold on its own. So we genuinely can’t wait to find out what could come next.

Actress Stacy Haiduk pointed out that the upcoming storylines would be a little edgier on Days of Our Lives. However, the changes won’t be overnight. It will be a slow and smooth transition. Dan Feuerriegel (EJ) jumped in with a joke that in two years’ time, the soap would be like Euphoria. But thankfully, Camila Banus (Gabi) quickly cleared the air that Dan was just joking and that would never happen. Dan got all serious and shared that the changes would be small and subtle. For instance, he used to swear words in one of the episodes that he wouldn’t on NBC.

Despite the move to online streaming platform Peacock, the stars of the soap believe Days of Our Lives will retain its essence and not turn into something unrecognizable. However, Kyle Lowder (Rex) pointed that online shows are full of swearing and sex scenes, so we can expect to see Days of Our Lives get a little more racier than before! But other than that all remains the same. Family values, love stories and everything. They don’t want to alienate the fanbase. Well these little changes sound really exciting and we are eagerly waiting to see them play out on screen! Are you excited for the changes too? Tell us in the comments. Meanwhile, stay tuned to Days Of Our Lives, streaming exclusively on Peacock

I do media bias checks all the time. In grad school, I've written so many papers it made me sick. Looking at this, I immediately question credibility.

Why are you quoting tvseasonsspoilers.com ?
Their article claims they were citing RSW in TVLine and also mentioned something from soaps.com.

But no.  I looked it up.  They were mentioning something RSW said on TVInsider (not TVLine).
As far as I can tell, TVLine hasn't interviewed RSW since before the switch to Peacock.

I found the TV Insider interview on youtube.  It's from Jan. 23.
It's one of the many interviews Deidre and RSW gave at the TCAs.
They were at the TCAs representing Peacock and DAYS.
RSW said "We're number one on Peacock, someone just sent me that".
RSW didn't say who sent it to him.
This is the TV Insider interview, from Jan. 23. He says it in the first minute:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YiS2YYVvXU

The tvseasonsspoilers.com article also mentioned a soaps.com interview with several cast about the switch to Peacock. but that interview was from Sept 6, 2022.
https://soaps.sheknows.com/days-of-our-lives/news/645498/days-of-our-lives-cast-react-to-move-from-nbc-to-streaming-peacock/

(edit to correct myself, it was Sept. 9, not Sept. 6).

tvseasonspoilers is among several other supposed soap sites that keep popping up in order to allegedly take advantage of US readers who make up the bulk of online advertising dollars. Google gives revenue preference to websites that have large (80% or higher) US and UK based readers, hence the influx of sites covering American soaps that include a lot of misinformation in their articles. This is also happening on YouTube en masse.

To further add, other than “Yellowstone,” Peacock has only ever highlighted the success of “Bel-Air” and “The Best Man: The Final Chapters” as successful series launches. To date, the streamer has yet to ever comment on the performance of “Days of our Lives” on the service.

Thus far, how the show is doing on the platform has been assumed by fans or commented on by actors. Nothing else, including my stating awhile back that the show was doing well enough to warrant a renewal and likely a two-year one at that.

Friday and today’s beyond salem/heaven/devil/whatever this SL is called scenes could have been combined. All the back and forth over selling souls and speaking to the manager dialogue was USELESS!!! At this point, I am hoping these ladies are in medically induced comas and having the same dream and their husbands are really out looking for a final permanent solution to help them and Rex is monitoring the ladies. Then it can tie into them coming across Hope and Bo and all the other stuff from the promos over the last couple of months. Because this SL is giving me major MELASWEN vibes except with the devil and a pace that the tortoise can beat.

Watching Abigail Klein on this show is sooo weird to me because I know her from Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the team and it’s hard to get into her playing Stephanie.

Idk when I grew to dislike Julie but the going on about missing Nick was getting on my last nerve and the great beyond(there’s another name for the SL lol) chewed up the rest of that.

I need some positive and I mean long term positive stuff from this show. Are these still NBC episodes or are they now on Peacock episodes? I want Days to throw up the middle fingers, bust them pens wide open and get away from the same SLs same characters and bring that some fresh material to this show.

I should point out the origin of a lot of these websites is from India.

The episodes currently airing were taped just before, during or slightly after the move to Peacock news came out. The official Peacock episodes are those that were written specifically with Peacock as the show’s official American home. These episodes are not that. They are still episodes written for NBC but airing on Peacock.

It wouldn't shock me to learn that Days is the most-viewed original series on Peacock in terms of sheer numbers, simply because there are five new episodes a week. Technically, yeah, it'd be getting a lot more eyeballs on it because it releases a lot more episodes than anything else Peacock is producing/releasing by far.
