Looks like Days, BB and GH will be preempted.

I guess it's Peacock for both Beyond Salem and Days tomorrow.

I'm trying to get caught up on B&B on Paramount +. Yes, if there is a streaming service that I would subscribe to, it's Paramount +. I guess it fits more of my personality. However, I'm watching these whack-a-doodle lunatics right now and question so many things as this stuff is becoming dangerous. Frankly, social media is not helping.

Re: October 13 hearing:

In the past, when there was a 1pm Eastern hearing, CBS aired half of Y&R on the east coast and the full episode online, with no official preemption of Y&R.
In the past, when there was a 1pm Eastern hearing, B&B and GH were usually fully preempted.

I checked regular TV listings websites and the daily listings for Oct 13 show the soaps with new episodes.  Maybe those listings sites simply aren't yet updated.

Curious if the soaps will follow the previous pattern for the hearings on Oct 13 or not.  @Errol have you heard anything?

Yes, they will. They were supposed to be preempted on September 28 (B&B/GH) but then it got canceled so they aired as expected. This means Emma Samms won't air until Thursday, October 20 now.

TV listing sites need more advance notice to update their schedules. They'll probably have the updated hearing scheduled by maybe Monday or Tuesday in their systems.

Thursday October 13, 2022 preemption log

Bold and the Beautiful was fully preempted.
Some markets in USA and all of Canada got a rerun:
B&B Episode # 6900 from August 28, 2014 (Season 27, Episode 238).

Episode description: "Bob Barker meets Wyatt while visiting Liam; Deacon asks Hope to help him with Brooke."
What happens:

  • Kim Matula's Hope is moving in with Wyatt whom she recently married, although she loves Liam. In previous episodes, Quinn had waylaid Liam to stop him from reaching Hope in time, and Hope had falsely assumed that Liam didn't want her, so she had married Wyatt.  Hope learned the truth but has moved forward with Wyatt anyhow and moved in with Wyatt -- and in this episode she is unpacking her belongings.
  • Bob Barker appears as himself discussing animal rescue spay and neuter programs with Liam. Wyatt makes a remark about crazy animal lovers, so Bob Barker punches Wyatt.
  • Brooke and Bill are married; but they are currently distanced because of the aftereffects of Bill arranging that Ridge be thrown out of the helicopter -- this had seemed to have long since been resolved... but Brooke is now upset because she recently learned that the aftereffect of that fall is making it difficult for Ridge to sketch designs.  In this episode, Brooke and Bill each (separately) remember their wedding and honeymoon in Abu Dhabi (flashbacks are shown of their beach wedding and camel rides). Bill tries to reconnect with Brooke, but she is hesitant.
  • Kim Matula's Hope has a scene with Deacon, who wants her help in reuniting with Brooke.
  • Linsey Godfrey's Caroline is involved with (or married to?) Rick Forrester, but Caroline is out of town. Maya Avant is modeling and flirting with Rick, as Oliver photographs.
  • Oliver invites Aly to the party at the Bikini.
  • Ivy is interested in Liam.

Full recap: http://tvmegasite.net/updates/bb/2014/bb-08-28-14.shtml

The entire episode is up on the B&B free international youtube channel:

Thursday October 13, 2022 - Young and the Restless.
As expected, the first half aired on CBS in most of the eastern timezone, so it was not officially preempted.
Some areas got the whole episode, and some got part of it.
But it's considered to have officially aired.  Not counted as a preemption.

Y&R Episode #12470 (Season 50, Episode 10)
US airdate Thursday, October 13, 2022. Canadian airdate Wed. Oct. 12.

Episode description: "Adam crashes Nick and Sally's date; Tucker makes a promise to Ashley."

If you missed the episode, it's available in Canada on the Global website.
https://watch.globaltv.com/series/32666602/
Listed as Oct/12/2022 because that's the Canada airdate.

It's up on cbs.com and paramountplus as "Season 50 episode 10" 10/13/2022.

    • I think it was Most Irresistible Couple. I'm pretty sure ATWT's Jack and Carly were up for it to, and I felt gypped that they lost.
    • To each his own, but I am lovin' the Duprees.   Doesn't mean the show is perfect, but the Duprees are not the problem.
    • While Daphne D, Trisha MG, and Ambyr M are definitely in the running for an Emmy nom next year,  Brandon Claybon actually impressed me a lot too! It's just a shame we rarely see Martin and Ted in scenes together, which would have made everything more impactful!
    • I remember this funny bit with Donna in 1989 or 1990 where Michael had asked Donna why she didn't have a female friend and/or really any friends.  I laughed when he mentioned how she was close to Iris, but backtracked by saying 'ok that was my fault' when she gave him the looks that could kill look. I remember there was a bit where Donna then tried to befriend Rachel and I believe Felicia in separate scenes with the two both looking at Donna in bewilderment.  It didn't seem to work. After Felicia and Lucas married, I do remember a few scenes between Felicia and Iris where they were being nice yet throwing subtle shade at one another.  Then Donna would come into the scene and then it seemed as though Iris and Felicia would both focus on their annoyance at Donna.  I do recall Felicia did get silo'd into her own orbit at times... and that Lorna and Jenna had more interactions with other characters outside that orbit.. moreso than Felicia. I think the isolation of  Donna/Rachel/Felicia became more pronounced/obvious once Iris was written off the show and JFP came into the EP position in 1995.   Even after JFP departed.. the isolation of characters into bubbles continued until the last few months of the show when Amanda started interacting with Cindy, Paulina resumed interacting with Rachel/Amanda, Vicky/Lila began sparring again after being in separate orbits for over a year, etc.
    • Only falling or tripping dreams for me...
    • I think with the Silk Press Sheila/Eva/Ted/Nicole situation fully out and in the open (for the most part)... I have some predictions for May/June: Kat/Eva/Tomas:  With the revelation that her father, who she held up as a hero, is not as perfect as he's presented himself to be.. I see Kat focusing her energy on supporting her mother and pushes Tomas away (she had mentioned to Vernon about how Tomas had asked her to step in and talk Naomi into dropping the lawsuit and how she didn't feel comfortable with that).   With Tomas pushed away from Kat.. he become the one individual that is nice to Eva and also feels a bit of guilt since his telling of what she confided in him to Kat ended up being the spark that made Kat resume investigating Eva.   Eva will also go to Tomas for comfort... and that will cause even more conflict/issues between herself and Kat. Nicole/Ted:  As we've seen for the last 2+ months... Nicole is not anything like Dani and her response to Silk Press' bombshells proves that.  Even if she opts not to file for divorce.. I predict a messy War of the Roses type of situation.   Although she kind of bought this on herself with the bottom bit of trust she had for Eva irregardless of the fact that she came recommended by Mona. Martin:  I have a feeling that his memories of the being Silk Press Sheila's little brownie friend will also revive the nightmares full stop.. and May will have this be the A story with Smitty and kids affected by this secret of his from the past.  If found out.. will Smitty leave him, or will Smitty continue his unhealthy devotion to Martin (and it is unhealthy).   And also, I hope we get some more focus/development on the Joey/Vanessa/Doug situation.. and also connect the threads of that threesomes to Jacob/Jacob's partner/Jacob's dad thread... and also get to see who else Joey starts to set his sights on (perhaps a Dupree.. since they're vulnerable right now). My wishlist for May/June for the B and C stories: Naomi/Jacob:  Cute couple.. but why are they together.  As the late Agnes Nixon would ask if she view them .. why are they together?  What is it about Naomi and Jacob's pasts pre marriage has led the two to find one another and get married?  Naomi seems a control freak... as a way to not be like her 'weak' mother Dani so she calls the shots?  What draws Jacob to Naomi?  Is it her sense of justice and passion?  Is it the Dupree last name?  Ashley/Derek:  The last time she was on, we finally got a bit of personality from her that isn't so perfect.  She's high strung/anal about her surroundings and her life.  Is she like this because she was a latchkey kid due to her single mother working all the time?  Is she only with Derek because he's 'simple' and 'uncomplicated'.. someone she thinks won't try to upset her routines?  As I say... I don't know if the writers/producers have the 'why' figured out for these two.. and if they can figure that out.. story can generate from that.
    • It's not the worst idea lol.  Emma deserves much better than Joss though.
    • Robert Newman gets the short end of the stick, as Josh is usually stuck being an [!@#$%^&*] until the chick he's with goes cray-cray and Reva becomes the better alternative.  Reva was also married to Josh's brother Billy. You said it better than I did.  While I didn't know Brandon had died on-screen previous to this, it was just odd that they'd made such a huge deal about him already being dead the summer before, yet now he's just hanging around in white linen in the islands, not giving a fig about his family and friends. To me, Brandon was always the spectre hanging over the family that explained their lack of conscience.  Long at times used history very well--or at least knew how to mine it for story effectively. The Fishing Trip and Dylan are probably the best examples of that. I don't think she came up with Dinah, but I could be wrong.

Marnie Schulenburg's widower. She was such a strong person. (I did not realize he played the Tucker Carlson knockoff on Succession)
