Well, you should. GL Buzz Boards (same name). I've always had this mouth, but a lot has changed since then.

Haha! I've studied a lot and glad I'm almost done with my second masters. Although Max Weber, Emile Durkeim, and Karl Marx royally screwed with my head, I'm able to see things from a macro-perspective, so I know what's up.

On Ron's shows the character that objects to the 'fun' story is always the bad guy, a moralistic scold who will be shown to be a hypocrite. On GH this extended to Cameron Webber opposite Nicolas Bechtel's scheming Spencer, back when the wooden little boy playing him still had baby teeth.

I almost refrained from posting because I was like nothing could be worse than Sarah as a character that's been dead since before I was alive.  Nope.  I stand corrected.  Sarah as a child? teen?  Way to go, Ron!  You exceeded my rock bottom.

It honestly feels like someone has it out for Linsey Godfrey. I remember how they did Sean Kanan. But who knows, she may just be loving having fun with this nonsense, as I imagine many of the actors on the show do.

Ron apparently learned nothing from the Teen Jessica fiasco on OLTL.

How long are we going to have to listen to LG doing the baby talk and calling Maggie "mommy"?

Maybe tomorrow Sarah will ask Maggie to breastfeed her!

You know it's a bad episode when Gwen/Gabi were the highlight. I mean damn lol.

I mean I think Ron thinks teen Jessica is his career highlight or something.  Lol!  It was actually your low Ron.  For some reason people continue to let to write despite this not because of it.

You know, I probably am in the minority, but I think both Gwen/Gabi have potential.  They just get the worst stories and screen partners.  I just think both actresses have a little more to offer than what they get.  They don't lack story-they just get really ill-fitting ones.

Ironically, one of Ron's worst stories before everything got really rough at OLTL for the first time was when the show hired a young girl to play a deranged teen, Lola Montez. The actress: Camila Banus.

Seriously Salem is a dangerous place to live. You have the devil jumping into bodies, serial killers having babies, kidnappers roaming around and unhinged females pointing guns at people. Crime pays in Salem because no one pays for their crimes.

And we have over the hill gay men who came out of closet for the thrill of it thinking a bitchy queen really loves him.

    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
