Hope the aliens don't take it first?

(I know, I'm like a broken record about aliens taking the baby.  I can't help it, lol.)

I'd like to say that Ron Carlivati had bigger plans for JoDevil that got changed as the story progressed...but I know I'd be lying.

For God's sake, are we still pretending Bonnie isn't really Adrienne?

ZT must be looking for his dad to do a script rewrite.  (Don't worry, Zach, I'm looking for him, too!)

They're just covering their bases, because they literally don't know who she's playing anymore.

I cannot believe Adrienne Johnson, who has history and connections to brothers Steve and Jack, husband Justin, son Sonny, and so many others was sacrificed for the cartoon that is Bonnie Lockhart.

I mean, Judi Evans has had a hellish few years and I'm glad to see her. I just wish her current character wasn't so freaking bad and pointless.

I suspect Ron always intended to probably pull a Gigi/Stacey from OLTL on her someday and resurrect Adrienne. He may still do so, but for now Bonnie, like most broad characters he goes all in on, is 'too much fun' for him to stop and it's gotten away from him. He always waits too long.

In the case of Bonnie vs Adrienne, I do think Bonnie is a much more entertaining character than Adrienne. I've always found Adrienne extremely boring. I wouldn't mind her kids returning, but with Justin around I feel that's enough. Bonnie is at least entertaining and has more range. I think Adrienne is Judi Evans weakest role of any of her major soap roles.

I said from the start that it'll turn out that there was a switch between Bonnie and Adrienne where some DiMera henchman brainwashed the other to have the others memories.

Not that I particularly want that to happen (I don't care for Adrienne either way), but it just feels like something they'd eventually pull.

    • Anyway...they literally mentioned the secret room today on Days and yes, this show needs a Kristen lesbian story lol.
    • Yes, they did a 'premiere' of Maggie's death episodes at the ArcLight theatre in Los Angeles, arguably then the nicest movie theatre chain in the USA. Plus, Suzanne and Deidre were in a ton of scenes together during this time. Whatever happened between them happened after 2004.
    • There are episodes with Jenny (Mary Ellen Stuart) that she was in pre-writers strike.. and I know that she lasts until at least August 1988. It's a shame that the show didn't try pairing her with Rusty since the two had more chemistry than she had with Ross and that he had with Rose.
    • Was that when she put on the"Slut of Springfield" red dress and made a complete ass of herself at the CC, so of course Alan fell madly in love with her on the spot?
    • Oohh...now I'm not sure. Long did come back in '87, didn't she. She broke up Ross and Vanessa almost from her first minute back. Van and Ross are at the Country Club when Josh dumps Reva. And Reva dramatically drapes herself on the CC stairs.
    • Glad you enjoyed watching. Yes, Michael seems like fun. I am always interested in more of these niche talk show appearances.
    • Thanks for the tag @DRW50
    • Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.
    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
