Damn

It sucks but no one's at fault. Hope it all works out for her. And that the recast has chemistry with Nick Chavez

Look i think we all knew that Syd was not long for GH and I doubt Nicholas will remain as Spencer past his 3-year contract. Both are uber talented & have great futures.

Which one is Syd? I only restarted watching GH a month ago?

** Nevermind. I see now it's Trina.

Trina Robinson

Terrible news, but I get it. At least they're recasting, and hopefully the new girl will be good.

Yes. If they werent invested in Trina, GH would write her off after the sex tape reveal and her Transfer colleges

Welp, there's the final nail in the coffin for Sprina fans.

The role is being recast

Well, that sucks, but we called it in that BI thread (if it was indeed her they were talking about). Hopefully GH’s casting team recognizes they need a powerhouse for this role and not someone who has to learn on the job. SM set a high bar. And her chemistry with NC was a once-in-a-generation thing IMO. Just a bummer.

Yeah There are a lot of young actresses that are good that can fit this role. They just gotta take their time to find that person. Hopefully they were were holding castings while Sydney was still filming.

Frankly, that's irrelevant.  Unless the recast ends up sharing amazing chemistry with Chavez on her own, the pairing is history.

Well there have been very successful recasts  and i know there are very capable actresses out there to play Trina

Yeah, chemistry is lightning in a bottle, and NC and SM were special. You know it when you see it. The next actress might be perfectly capable, but it would be like recasting, I dunno, Marcy Walker’s Eden on SB and expecting her replacement to have that rare connection with A Martinez. It’s a tall order.

But how many of those successful and very capable actresses are gonna be able to replicate the chemistry with him?  That's the $64,000 question!
