Elena, duchess of Branagh | Dynasty Wiki | Fandom

Now One of THose Who inspired Me to do this Topic, Duchess Elena of Branagh, Dynasty's very own Camilla had such potential and a rather competent actress who did a credible european accent, Yet She was there for a few episodes putting a strain on Amanda and Michael's already weak relationship serving basically no other purpose and then left, it was a real letdown

J Chamberlin. That makes me remember OG J (George Pilgrim) saying that doing GL made him go backwards, Yeah cause Red Shoe Diaries and Tammy and The T-Rex had so much hype and clout''

But yes they did nothing even with Ethan Erickson in the role.

I remember the show started hinting at pairing Drew and J Chamberlain...but Ethan Erickson quit.

regarding Cain... I think Pam Long had created his character with the intention of pairing him with Reva.  However, she left the writing team in early 1986 for maternity leave and then was on SFT.  So I don't know if Cain would have ended up psycho...or if she would have used him as a worthy obstacle once Josh came back in late 1986.

Mr Lindsey: Holly's 3rd husband during her Switzerland years.  Blake and him didn't get along..and the marriage caused friction between Holly and Blake.  Shame no writers thought to bring him on during the late 90s/early 2000s for Holly.

i think this one kinda supports my idea of Elena, she began with such Villainous potential but in the next season she was such a whining victim and the accent disappeared too

Also Revisiting Dina i realized there was plenty of Alexis Carrington in her at least in the beginning

Why they decided to turn Jill into Alexis after is beyond me, Marla Would've made an excellent villainess, as her resumé alrealdy proved

i also must remember why they sent Julia Away? really some crazy sendoff, they contraried their own work

one scene contradicts thew other, i still think the show would've made a much better final season with Julia around

IDK why - because I know now that's not exactly what happened - but this was always my impression(s) of Julia's periodic returns when I was growing up and watching this show on Friday nights (and later, reruns on Lifetime):

Julia: Hello, everyone!  I'm back!

Everyone: Oh, Julia, it's so great to see --

Julia: Okay, I'm going back to the convent!  Take care, everyone!

I forgot all about him...who could play him? Always trying to fit in Roscoe Born in at GL at that time maybe a Holly/Lindsey/Alex triangle...(ah Alex could have brought him back when Fletcher and Holly were together but her plans are fouled by the return of Claire..(throw in the "Chele might actually be Fletch's.and an Alex/Dietrich/Holly/Fletch/Claire/Ed thing would have been much better then the Meg storyline (never disliked it, just should have been Frank and Eleni's storyline.)  Can we see Marj making the moves on Born???

Eve Howard from The Young and The Restless!!! I bet her return in 1993 would be even more interesting if They Kept her in her original crazy form like Sheila Carter or Patty Williams! And NOW I HAVE PROOOOOOOFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!

The "suits" at SONY are fools not to find some way to release and monetize the Y&R and DAYS vaults.  Letting viewers watch this (or watch this again) on some platform would not, in any way, jeopardize these shows' continued success.

I Came across this one too, Allison Bancroft on Y&R, i didn't know much about this character except she was Nikki's Mother-in-Law from hell for a while in the 1980's before she got together with Victor, but now i found this two clips with her and she got my attention as anyone who Goes head to head with Katherine would

    • Ron C breakdowns usually involve quick snip scenes.. and so far, it is apparent in spades.  I wish we had the longer scenes like we had in the previous few episodes. And I see Febreeze appeared again today.  More airtime/purpose than Ashley/Derek LOL
    • I loved Felicia and Donna. They were two of the reasons I couldn't stop watching the show even when the writing was horrible. I was never really a fan of Rachel's unless she was sniping at Cecile (my fave character!). But Felicia and Donna (especially Anna Stuart) are AW to me. Of course, it was around the time of their arrivals that I remember I started watching the show. I was 10 in '83. For me, they were always there. I wouldn't have wanted either of them to be killed off.  Rachel and Mac were okay for me but I never saw most of their relationship play or Rachel's previous work with Steve and Alice. I just saw her as there; the matriarch. Never a fan of Rachel and Carl. It made no sense whatsoever.  I did like Quinn and was shocked when they killed her off. Her and Zack were just starting to become a couple I wanted to watch. She should definitely have been a fixture on the show along with her family. Carter and Thomasina I thought were fun and a great couple, too.  That's the thing about being an AW fan. The show was always on the brink of greatness, but then it would shoot itself in the foot with stupid decisions from writing to cast exits, etc. They could just never quite get it together. The cast was amazing! It's the only thing that saved them for so long.
    • I LOVED LD on AW...one of my all time favorite characters! However, on OLTL, her character was pretty pointless from the word go. I think trying to make her this character she played decades before was also a bad choice. She should have been a brand new character that could have been tied into the current canvas better. Rae really had no connections or family on the show. Imagine if she had been brought on as a recast Melinda Cramer, freshly released from the hospital. She would have been tied into a major family, be Kelly's mother, and have some real drama to play opposite RS.
    • it's up  BTG Episode #48 - May 8th cbs.com https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/vEQupDSVKChQKTvVWgX8mrUj2kCJEQTv/ paramountplus https://www.paramountplus.com/shows/video/vEQupDSVKChQKTvVWgX8mrUj2kCJEQTv/
    • I agree DZ is doing good work.  It's nice to see him getting meaty material again.  It's just off. Sonny was also low key the voice of reason saying when talking about Gio which I don't love lol.  And, yes, Dante calling a 15? 16? kid who had a couple of beers reckless at heart is silly.  I think most people had a few drinks in high school.  In isolation, the scenes with Jason/Danny were good when he was talking about AJ's drinking problem.  If you ignore everything else about what Jason did to AJ it was a good historic throwback.
    • @janea4old Tricia Mann-Grant also called Leslie a narcissist in the ET special before it premiered. Thank you! Looking forward to it.
    • -- This is maddening. DZ is acting his ass off, but the script is a mess. As you said, if Dante came down hard on Rocco, these outbursts would make some sense. Comparatively, though, Rocco got a pass, and that's just insane. Dante's not only criticizing Danny and Gio, but the people who raised them. It's just nuts. -- And then Dante goes to his father -- the mob boss killer WHO SHOT DANTE -- to declare Danny "reckless at heart." JFC. -- Kai was in the hospital for that dislocated shoulder about 3x as long as Sonny was in the hospital for his heart. Make it make sense.
    • I'm really of the mind now that Leslie really did have that abortion and Eva isn't Ted or her child.
    • Isn’t it thrilling to get that kind of buzz from a performance again? If this show had nothing else going for it (and it has other real strengths, including the actress opposite her), that would be enough to keep me invested.
