These Chris Noth allegations makes me wonder if some folks may have known something along the way. I mean, it is likely that Noth also didn't want to return full-time but I do wonder about what went into the decision to kill off the character vs. just having Carrie divorce Big, as it's not like they haven't broken up before.

It is weird though because for quite some time the rumor was that Samantha was the character to be killed off. At first I thought that had to be some type of red herring but this recent bit of news has made me question that assumption. I'm not trying to imply that everyone knew but, oh well, regardless, these allegations are now out there...for all the issues this limited series has, Big won't be one of them going forward.

After seeing today's bull schitt interview at TV Line with Michael Patrick King lying about how and why Miranda and Steve got married, and Carrie again acting like an imbecile with Natasha, I'm done. This should have stayed a memory.

Kim Cattrall was smart as hell for not returning.

The Chris Noth news is disgusting and disappointing. Always liked him as Det. Mike Logan on Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. I remembered something happening with Beverly Johnson, so...yeah.

That said, why wouldn't these women come forward when his casting announcement for The Equalizer was announced? Why did it take the SATC reboot and Big to do it?

Honestly, this series works for me purely of the fact that I already thought these women were horrible human beings and seeing And Just Like That just cements that fact. Carrie is just a horrible selfish little bitch and the Natasha storyline cements that. I'm not sure this is what the writers intended me to feel, but I sort of enjoy it.

Miranda and Steve were one of my favorite parts of SATC. I am not surprised that Michael Patrick King is lying as I never felt that he had much use for the pairing, and much of the material for Miranda  in his time as the main showrunner was shaky - the best was her relationship with Steve.  Just another relationship ruined by hackery and what seems to be another case  of having a  character become gay just because the actor who plays them went  the same path.

I am a glutton for punishment for following a show led by people I dislike and characters long ruined.

I knew about Beverly Johnson's allegations against Chris Noth for decades.  Surprisingly, though, it has never stopped me from enjoying his run on L&O.  (Life is too short to waste time watching L&O:CI.)

Stanford Blatch's Last Bow: The cast remembers Willie Garson.

I loved the pairing of Miranda and Steve. Make no mistake: I'm ALL for LGBTQ+ representation and would have been fine with the main characters exploring such had it made sense. Miranda's turn doesn't. If you recall on the original show, she once explored that [think her job was connected somehow, my memory is hazy there], kissed a woman and felt nothing. There was nothing to suggest Miranda had any doubts about her preference/life, etc.

So Michael Patrick King claiming Miranda only married Steve because she was pregnant (and no; they exchanged ILYs at Brady's first birthday party in "One" and Miranda proposed to Steve later in S6 in "The Ick Factor") and feels trapped is just a load of crap.

I can't support such a change based on laziness and a lie. And I also don't get why Miranda has to be a lesbian/bi just because the actress playing her is. Isn't that why it's called acting?

(Steve calling Miranda to tell her about the blue moon will always be a favorite scene of mine.)

Hence why I am peacing out on this disaster.

She most certainly was. She is booked and busy. She’s the narrator on Hulu’s ‘How I Met Your Father,’ has been filming a recurring role on Peacock’s ‘Queer as Folk’ reboot and she’s just finished shooting the Sebastian Maniscalco comedy ‘About My Father’ starring Robert DeNiro.

The delusion and defensiveness of MPK, SJP, and various writers is mind-numbing. So much patting themselves on the back for how controversial and brave they are - they knew people would hate their stories but did them anyway! People didn't hate their stories because they're garbage, they just can't accept change! The attempts at brainwashing viewers to accept the destruction of Miranda's character. And most shameless of all, dredging Kim Cattrall's name up for one more press round, going on and on about how THEY won't want her back on the show when SHE made it more than clear she was never going back.

These people are just sad and have zero shame. I will never watch their work, and I will never go back and watch any of SATC.

    • David Bailey was the only actor that I remember as Russ. I was too young to remember Sam Groom or Robert Hover. When David Bailey returned in 1989, I thought the powers that be should have recast the part. However, I went back to watch some episodes with Bailey. Actually, Bailey was good. The show missed a great opportunity to keep Bailey on longer than six months. Bailey always great chemistry with Vickie Wyndham, Irene Dailey and Connie Ford. And he was good in scenes with Carmen Duncan. Russ could have been involved with Iris again and possibly Rachel with the return of Carl Hutchins. Charles Keating's reappearance in 1989 with Carl being involved with the Red Swan story.  Beverly Penberthy's return in 1989 would have been a treat. Pat could have played the aunt for Josie to lean on, and good romantic pairing later for Spencer Harrison. Even though Paul Stevens had passed away in 1986. I would have brought back the character Brian Bancroft; this time being played by Donald May or John Gabriel. Was the intention for David Bailey to return for only short-term purposes.

    • Of course it's just a rumor so it shouldn't be taken that seriously and when there really is an issue usually an actor will just turn the role down or leave (like the first Adam Newman on Y&R). If anything I think the producers might be keeping the kissing down to avoid issues with more conservative viewers. When it comes down to it Facebook pages are full of ignorant people who speculate about everything.
    • The facebook comments are *very* entertaining! Sometimes I enjoy going down that rabbit hole. It doesn't matter the soap, if it's on Facebook, they are always wildly off the mark.
    • Then they shouldn't accept roles playing gay. ETA: They would probably not have any reservations about playing cheaters or liars but kissing another man is too much. I'm so sick of this attitude. Just to be clear though, we don't know for sure if that is the case here. It's still only a rumour.
    • I think I join others here who believe that Russ never really got over Rachel. So, I would have considered him in the wake of Mac's death as a partner for Rachel. I do not even remember Hover, might as well be WHOver?!!! But, Sam Groom & David Bailey each in their own ways were good. Of course, it would have been good to have some more relatives for him & my own strong preference was for Beverly Penberthy. Pat could have functioned as his sister and she could have worked at Cory, too.  But, always open to new talent.
    • Sure, but when it comes to playing gay roles a lot of straight men become terrified that people will actually think they are gay if they do a kissing scene.
    • IF that's true, it's 2025, and that's why they call it acting!
    • I forgot about the Charlotte Wheaton saga....wasnt her real killer that Alicia television woman..it really was a big "who cares" as it involved people we didn't know (I do wish Charlotte would have lived to just be an annoying pain in the ass to everyone as a recurring character...)It didn't help that it was Faux Ed and as you say, VanFleet makes PS look like a live wire!  Didn't Fletcher and Mo have a radio show at that time WTF was Long thinking during this time? I saw another clip of Maeve and she is yet again laying in bed as she is preggers..I swear LD must have had it written in her contract that she was to remain off her feet for all of her roles..(wasn't she in a wheel chair on ATWT?)
    • Jill's descent into madness is one of the storylines that made Knots Landing go off the rails in the aftermath of Laura departure. The other two were Charles Scott and Johnny Rourke.
