It was on Dishin Days where Ron appeared and said the idea of revisiting the possession story was Corday idea. Corday came to him and suggested it.

At least it's an umbrella plot involving most of the cast. The context is flimsy and rushed but isn't that what makes the show "Days". An umbrella plot involving the cast and having fun along the ride. Some of them are being left behind though in the writing. Yikes ... It WOULD ultimately work better as a whole on Peacock though. Absolutely.

That's pretty great idea.  At the very least it would account for the fact that there never seems to be long term consequences from these wacky types of stories. I mean who would continue to use Marlena as a psychiatrist after she's been possessed twice?

Ben?  The same people that continue to use her as a shrink after she fake murdered half the town lol?  I think there have been ethical questions about Marlena's psychiatric abilities since the 80's at least, so I doubt people will ever stop going to see her lol.  I have always wondered how she had any sort of consistency with her patients when she was kidnapped every 6 months in the 90's or the fact that her husband is her #1 patient, but it seems she is the only game in town for mental health.

Just watched Wednesday's episode and all I can say is WTF?!

Nicole kills zombie Deimos, and Rafe finds a dead body in his kitchen, so naturally, they... have sex?! HUH?! If Rafe/Nicole actually had fans, I bet they'd be pissed! What a bizarre buildup to two people finally having sex. They really talked about Duke before they f-cked, too. Galen doesn't have chemistry with anyone, sorry not sorry.

Same with Allie and Tripp. Allie gets tortured by a zombie version of her rapist, and Tripp kills him with a frying pan. They immediately start making out. WHAT?

The stuff with Gabi and Jake in the cemetery was awful!

Cin used to be a good couple.

Now they are obsessed with having a kid. And, probably pregnant.

Also, for Christsake. It’s 2021 can a freaking soap have a childfree woman already?  There’s more of us out there than people think and I know I am not the only soap viewer that is.

Other than that. DAYS has been pretty good so far this month.

    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.
