It was nice seeing Charlie and Nick again. Even as zombies, they’re still good actors lol but I was surprised MarDevil kissed Nick, but not Charlie

As for Possession 2.0, I’m sure I won’t be shouting from the rooftops about how wonderful it is anytime soon, but I like how they’re weaving more characters into it, and not just the ones that are associated with Marlena.

The whole episode was a joke. I was laughing out loud through the whole thing. It wasn't scary. It was a Carol Burnett skit and that's how Carlivati wanted it. He gets his kicks writing this kind of ridiculous garbage.

I do have to say that Nicole reaction at the end was the best reaction to seeing the dead back.

And a Will and Sonny mention today with Gabi phone chat with Will and Sonny.

Kristen needs to be portrayed by no one at this point. The character is beyond played out.

The acting from "Carmine" is Wes Ramsey levels of bad. I crack up whenever he's on. I did laugh at his line about not being scared of Ava anymore because all she does is cut up eggplant. Yup. Tamara Braun is looking good though.

The zombie makeup was atrocious! I was still super happy to see Mike Manning and Blake Berris though. (No, I don't care about Deimos.)

Allie is so happy that Tripp fixed the hole in Henry's blanket... lawd they're boring!

Gabi is so damn annoying. All she does is yell.

Nicole jumping out of her chair was hilarious. Can Deimos please kill Duke? That bear is ridiculous.

My god, Deidre Hall and Blake Berris have smoking hot chemistry! THAT KISS!

Omg, swooning. In all seriousness, I was not prepared to see that.

I think Eileen has a lot of resentments surrounding the Kristen character, namely that it's the role which really made her huge and even won her an Emmy, unlike Ashley, which she seems to love playing and has much more of a history with. I sometimes wonder if her so naturally playing such a cold and often unsympathetic figure also bothers her. Either way, I don't even know if she would have returned as often as she did if she hadn't had such a long relationship with Sony.

Eileen is Kristen and it's just about impossible to ever replace that, although if a deeply untalented, woman-hating, egocentric hack was not headwriter, that would help.

I don't really know why anyone is surprised. Between roving groups of big bad villains escaping every six months and Rolf raising half of Salem from the dead, you'd think they would have this down.

I have to admit I've been watching here and there. Mostly curiosity to see how they can pull this off with such a small budget. Gotta say, Holy crap. Carlivati is like a really bad fan fiction writer with ADHD. I give him points for creative ideas, but has no writer's instinct for tone, subtext, or any kind of follow through. He really needs a co-writer to rein him in. Badly.

I thought the makeup for zombies Nick and Charlie was fine. It was dark and they were made up. What else did you want?

The possession storyline was played for camp on Halloween, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Funny, sexy, campy lines all over the place and Diedre Hall is killing it.

I don’t dislike Stacy Haiduk, but although I’ve enjoyed her on Days and YR at times, I’ve had enough. I want ED or nobody.

The writing for Kristen is bad — she’s either in jail, in hiding, or committing crimes that’ll get her thrown in jail. Haiduk plays it all the same, with vocal tics (like her low, throaty growl) that are beyond annoying. I’m done with the entire act.

It's embarrassing and I am constantly thinking what the eff am I watching, but I am still mildly entertained lol?  I know it's stupid and is lowering my IQ, but Mardevil making out with Nick was hilarious.  So were the reactions of Nicole/Ava to dead people stalking them.  Is it a mockery of the original Possession (which I already disliked)?  Yes, but it's more entertaining than watching Ciara/Ben have sex.   I am on the fence.  I literally agree with both sides of the argument on this story.

    • One thing I thought about is if Hayley will have a reaction to Bill threatening to kidnap and sell a baby. That's another level of viciousness and with her just having thought she was pregnant it might make her feel some type of way.
    • You're welcome. Fall 1982-Spring 1985 was the peak of primetime soaps. What a time to have been alive.
    • 1990/91 Cheers, Roseanne, A Different World, The Cosby Show, Empty Nest, The Golden Girls were still Top 10 shows, and Murphy Brown and Designing Women became Top 10 shows. It was the following season that I think was the transition season for sitcoms.
    • @xtr I loved Martin in Thursday's episode, he was almost a different character. I thought he was flirty, funny, carefree, and giggly. Glad I have someone to share my top 2 women(Nicole and Eva) with, I agree Nicole is the heart of the Dupree family, and also the heart of the show IMO. We rode into the show on the passenger side of her car, lol. What I am enjoying the most about the show, is that they did such a great job character building, because all I care about is the CHARACTER journey. Nicole, Eva, Leslie, Dani, Chelsea, etc. very invested in what's coming next. I even feel that way about Mona, Shanice, and Doug.
    • I know we have discussed the fact that Another World seemed to be planning a location shoot in Finland that got cancelled. I came across this item from the syndicated Soapbox column published June 14, 1982. "Soap operas have been experimenting extensively with on-location shooting in recent years to enhance storylines and increase their viewing audience. A major drawback is the added production costs involved. Another World, for example, cancelled a special trip for Victoria Wyndham (Rachel Cory on the show), who was scheduled to shoot scenes in Finland. The producers felt that the high price tag, along with resentment of the cast members who also wanted to travel but were to be left behind. was enough to scrap the whole project."
    • A few more thoughts about these last two episodes. I thought it was interesting how much disdain both Dani/Anita have for Eva. I thought it was amusing how Dani was calling her lying/conniving and how Anita pointed as if to say, "that part". They definitely are not here for her, and I could see them having harsh confrontations with her in addition to Leslie. I'm curious to see Kat's interaction with Eva on Monday's episode. I think it might be interesting if Kat (along with possibly Naomi/Chelsea) come around to Eva before Dani/Anita do. Of course, Kat will be understandably angry at her. But maybe a tiny part of her might feel sorry for her if she really does believe that she's Ted's daughter as well and that Leslie lied to her. I could see Kat confronting Eva again and warning her not to harm her family anymore. But I could also possibly see Kat admitting that what Ted/Leslie did regarding her was messed up as well. And maybe that will pave the way down the line for them to get along better. I also agree with the comments/speculation made in the threat that Nicole will eventually accept/probably love her someday as well. I still wouldn't mind if somehow Nicole ended up being her biological mother. They have both been acting like they care for each other in this storyline. Nicole somehow ending up being her mother would be soapy and provide some more interesting layers in this story. And regarding Andre/Dani's romance it seems like they are genuinely developing feelings for each other. I have missed episodes, so maybe more of this has been elaborated on. But it seemed like there was genuine affection between both of them when they snuck a kiss publicly in the hotel. And also, them both talking about going publicly with their relationship. I wonder what everyone's reactions will be should they be caught by someone together. Of if they flat out tell everyone about their relationship.
    • I was wondering what week it was, and it explains the low rating for Knots Landing. I was also wondering what preempted Dallas and Falcon Crest.
    • Interesting take on Dallas. Frankly I think the plot of JR Returns should have been the way Dallas ended but for whatever reason they thought they had the chance to get renewed for another season lol. A week later Knots’ 2 hour season finale ranked at #10 against Cheers #3 and LA Law at #5. There’s only a handful of other shows running that long and still doing well enough the ratings/rankings i.e. Gunsmoke, Law & Order, NCIS, Grey’s Anatomy and more recently Blue Bloods.    Another point of interest is the unraveling of the 80’s sitcoms had already begun in the spring of ‘91. The first part of a Who’s The Boss? two part season finale we see here ranked at  #40 and second part ranked at #43 the following week. Growing Pains finale the previous week barely made it into the Top 30. The Wonder Years fared no better. Cosby losing ground, Night Court and Dear John just being there etc.
    • I'm glad a lot of people are continuing to enjoy this show.

I haven't posted in a few weeks and have some catching up to do. But I did manage to look at the last two episodes after hearing about how good they were. I really enjoyed them. My thoughts on them: The affair/secret child reveal was very good. TMG was really good as Leslie, her whole confrontation with Ted/revealing all to the Duprees was very entertaining. I continue to love AM/Eva. She my top two favorites on the show (along with Nicole). I have a lot of sympathy for Eva and how she was conflicted/ultimately felt guilty about publicly revealing the truth to everyone. I wonder what will happen to her next, especially if she does go and live with the Doctor that is friends with Ted and Nicole. I lol'ed at how Martin/Smitty jumped up and grabbed Leslie when Eva was calling her crazy. The way they did that was funny to me. I haven't liked many of Martin's actions/his attitude especially regarding Smitty/his children, but I think it was interesting how he wanted to check Ted for his actions. And also wanted Bill to be questioned/confronted about his as well. I haven't been the biggest fan of the character of Andre, but I appreciated his calm and measured approach after the reveal and how he talked with Eva. I thought it was interesting that he knew about the affair and convinced Ted not to tell Nicole. Speaking of Nicole, I continue to love her character and view her as the heart of this show/Dupree family. I am interested in seeing where her journey goes as a character after this reveal. I'm looking forward to her leaning on Dani and (also Anita/Vernon, etc...) for a change.
