A stone cold legend.

If you've never seen her in John Cassavetes' A Woman Under the Influence or Opening Night, do it immediately.

I also remember her as Sandra Bullock's mother in "Hope Floats". Wonderful actress. May she rest in peace.

From time to time, her films pop into my mind. R.I.P.

According to the AWHP, her character in the movie Light of Day watches Another World.

WOW. I just think so much of her as an actress, also a lover, a wife & a mother. I feel for them so that she had dementia for the last 5 years. But that about AW is a treat.

Not a good day for musicians. Jack Russell, lead singer of the '80s rock band, Great White, has died at 63.

I know he is VERY polarizing, considering his association with the horrible fire at The Station back in 2003 [and I cannot believe it's been so long now!], but I figured I'd post, anyway.

Peter Marshall, Host of ‘The Hollywood Squares,’ Dies at 98

Who's left of his generation, or thereabouts, of game show hosts? Wink Martindale, Bob Eubanks...?

Peter Marshall

I’m kinda surprised it took me two days to read about his passing. I figured it would have been covered in a much more widespread way, but alas.

Of the classic 70s hosts, we still have Martindale, Eubanks, and Chuck Woolery. Eubanks goes back farthest as Newlywed made its debut in 1966.
