One of the best. It's a shame many just know her for The Notebook but at least they know her. Her work remains fresh, which isn't the case for a number of performers of her era who got more notice. 

Gloria is mostly just a very entertaining B-movie, but she's such a life force in it.

And yes, he also hosted a show called Learn To Read. He really was a true example of how someone could adapt, adjust and pivot in their life and career.

Not a good day for musicians. Jack Russell, lead singer of the '80s rock band, Great White, has died at 63.

I know he is VERY polarizing, considering his association with the horrible fire at The Station back in 2003 [and I cannot believe it's been so long now!], but I figured I'd post, anyway.

I’m kinda surprised it took me two days to read about his passing. I figured it would have been covered in a much more widespread way, but alas.

Of the classic 70s hosts, we still have Martindale, Eubanks, and Chuck Woolery. Eubanks goes back farthest as Newlywed made its debut in 1966.
