I think back to when Pat Robertson died and my reaction was “Oh well.” That’s just me, though.

I think that was my reaction as well.  I wasn't necessarily SAD to see him or Jerry Falwell die, but I wasn't exactly doing the Carlton either.

And that's how I feel about Chuck Woolery's passing.  I loathed his politics, but I honor his contributions to the game show genre.

Because of his political views. Most millennials and Gen Z only remember him for political views on social media.

Thanks! I'm still reeling over Martha Byrne & Doug Davidson. I haven't made it to Chuck Woolery, yet, and now I won't get that chance. Anyway, you provided valuable information & I appreciate it.

Just when I got back into RH. A legend, of course.

Helen Gallagher was a real, one-of-a-kind talent, who imbued RH and Maeve Colleary Ryan with so much spirit and truth, and who really kept that show together when it all had fallen apart.  St. Patrick's Day is my favorite day of the year because of her and her annual performances of "Danny Boy" at Ryan's Bar.  I will miss both Maeve and Helen always.  RIP.

Goodbye to my first and only and enduring television mother, the incomparable Helen Gallagher: she was tough, kind, talented, full of laughter, and a triple threat to boot.

But always tender towards me.

Rest in peace, dear Helen. 🍀

“Helen Gallagher was witty, gritty, and wise as well as remarkably talented,” Mulgrew told Soaps In Depth of her TV mother, “but there is no woman on Earth who could have been kinder or more generous to a young rookie straight out of Iowa. She was a theatrical mother unparalleled. I loved her. May she rest in peace.”

Thanks so much for posting!! A short, yet poignant tribute! Very heartfelt, as well.
