Amazing school cafeteria manager Philando Castile of Minnesota did much to see that students in need were fed and also helped students in other ways. He was killed by police in 2016 during a traffic stop and the cop was acquitted. In Philandro's honor, his mom got the movement going for the free meals at schools that Governor Tim Walz signed into law in 2023.

General CQ Brown speaking in June 2020 after George Floyd was brutally murdered by the police.  Gen. Brown had just been nominated to be chief of the Air Force when he made this statement and was approved a few days after.

General Charles Quinton Brown Jr.  was the chief of staff of the U.S. Air Force from 2020 to 2023.
He served as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 2023 to 2025.

On 21 February 2025, President Trump dismissed Gen. Brown from the position of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, after newly appointed U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth accused Brown of promoting diversity and asked on FOX News whether Brown had gotten the job solely because of his race.

A new report shows that the financial pledges that major corporations made to Black nonprofits during the 2020 'racial reckoning' evaporated quickly — and for some, never materialized

He's writing about the full study at this link:
https://www.issuelab.org/resources/52067/52067.pdf
The full study was done by the cooperation of the organizations "Candid" and "ABFE".

"Candid" is an organization that provides transparency data and grants info regarding nonprofits.  Candid was formed by merger of "GuideStar" with "Foundation Center".

ABFE is "Philanthropic Partnership for Black Communities ". Formerly known as "Association of Black Foundation Executives" which originated the acronym "ABFE". The organization's name was changed to "Philanthropic Partnership for Black Communities", while retaining "ABFE" as its common use name.
