That's definitely interesting! I had no idea about them having any involvement in Halloween 4. I think it was definitely a missed opportunity to never feature them. Lindsay could've easily been Rachel. Speaking of Rachel, her death in part 5 was a nightmare. It's not like they had another final girl so I'm not sure why they didn't keep her. 

 

The biggest missed opportunity for me with Halloween is not doing the original Halloween 2 with Laurie living in that sky rise. It would've been such a unique location for a slasher flick. I always wished we had gotten to see that.

I feel it could've been a retread of Carpenter's Somebody's Watching Me, but it was a neat idea.

 

The H4 script Carpenter worked on with Dennis Etchison was overtly supernatural. It was very out there and basically stated that the Shape lived on through the town's fear and hatred of him. At the end he turns into a fifty foot tall Shape towering over a burning drive-in - it was a lot, LOL. IIRC Carpenter wanted Joe Dante to direct.

Kyle has been going back and forth for a while now so I'm gonna assume she at least has a decent sized role in the first sequel. I'm still curious who is going to appear in both and I wonder if some of the people announced are just for the final sequel. I don't imagine they'll specify any of that due to spoilers.

I didn't know they changed the plans to film them back to back. I assumed they would've made sure writing was complete before they went into production. Now I worry it'll cause spoilers if they still plan on filming Ends before Kills is released. When only certain actors return for filming, it could lead to spoilers. I hope they can keep it under wraps because I find it pretty exciting that they're giving a horror series this type of treatment and I still want to be surprised. I want it to be an event much like Marvel or Star Wars where I can go in not knowing what to expect.

a 50 ft Shape? no wonder they didn't use this. where can I find the script or a breakdown of H4?


this is the same thing that happened with H5. they were still writing the script during filming. damn.


they may film all the co-star's scene at once while HK is in production.

      I do not think I have ever agreed with Vee. Normally I do not read him, Ignore ya know. For some unknown reason I clicked to read. And I agree 1000%. Now, this is so odd that I need to go away for a bit.

      Justine had a lot of hooey in it, but she was an actual woman, not a guy in drag. She was a doppelganger of Rachel, French, having had a past history with Carl, etc. Two of the more outrageous parts-Justine bricking alive Vicky into a wall & Justine grinding the gears driving a big rig.

      Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

      Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.

      This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

      Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!
