You're right, @mikelyons.  AMC (and the other ABC soaps) never recovered from Disney's purchase of the network.  BITD, ABC's soaps were successful, because they catered mostly to urban, college-educated women.  Once Disney took over, however, that went away.

Not to mention that every single ABC sitcom took a Disney trip. Even Roseanne!! 

Curtis Brown/Reed had some creepy scenes with Billie on DAYS in 1993.

Roscoe Born has that look that's natural for a soap villain. Of all the soaps he's been on, he's played a good guy only once or twice.
