It's been 20 years since the Daytime Emmys were relevant. Just present the awards on The Talk and be done with it.

Yeah, it was pretty good. Good speeches (James Reynolds, Deidre Hall, Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes). Had pacing issues, but that’s typical for these streamed ceremonies.

With no Susan Lucci losing streak, or a signature winning JFP speech. Is any of this worth it anymore?

Nope.  At least the Tony Awards present musical numbers to keep the sixteen people who watch every year interested.  The Daytime Emmys got diddly followed by squat.

I hated Judge Judy's hair - she ripped off Ruth Bader-Ginsberg.

 

But I love her, so I'm glad she won. 

We have to suffer through a Cameron Mathison commercial too?!

When I'm interested more in the talk and courtroom show categories than I am in the soap-related ones...sigh...this genre is so dead.
