Probably because R&B as a genre has been sacrificed at the alter of Hip-Hop. R&B stations rarely play pure R&B music anymore.

I'm not saying they needed to be shown sitting in each other's laps throughout the interview...but nothing in their body language, either shared or individual, suggested the two had once worked (and for a very long time) on the same series.

 

Or, maybe they just didn't recognize each other without their real hair.  Who knows?

Well it depends. Ella Mai, Jacquees, H.E.R., and Khalid still get a lot of play, and they’re pretty R&B in the traditional sense.

He used to have one of the most handsome faces on TV.  It's shameful what he's doing to it just to stay relevant.  Especially when you have men like Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood who clearly don't gaf.
