Yeah, Kit's death was pretty much mentioned in passing in eppy 3.  More detail in the final eppy but they could have kept the character and had her make appearances.

All in all, the reboot was a mediocre underwhelming display of why I wish Ilene Chaiken would just go and be a swimming instructor or something.

The  characters were meh and the entire show was tremendously inferior to the original product.  The only gay male couple were boring and had less chemistry than an dog and a fire hydrant.  Dani, one of the main characters, had promise tho.

Beth still pining for Tina as she making huge life mistakes.  And speaking of Tina, she had ZERO scenes with Anjelica, the daughter she fought for.  She was in 2 eppies.  Anjelica called her because Beth was a mess and only Mama T could help.  Again, Tina had no scenes with her kid.

Alice was good to see and she was in a really hot threesome.

Shane was there simply because TIIC wanted Shane to be there.  She served no purpose.  In the end, she pretty much discards her black wife who wanted a baby for a boxer rummaging thru the trash.

The huge plus was that Jenny Schecter is still dead

Save yourselves the heartache and just watch the first few seasons of the original.

Not sure how this show got a S2 but I'm a glutton for punishment, I guess.  I just love Bette Porter and think being dumped by her is very sexy.  The way she cut Gigi loose was hot!  No one should have that much swag.

Tina remains a lost cause.  Pairing this character with Rosie O'Donnell?  I guess, after Bette, it really doesn't matter, huh?  Why bother?

Once again, Shane is just there because why have The L Word without Shane even if she's just a bump on a log

The relationships on this show last about 2 good seconds and then off to the next great love.  Ugh!  Alice still rocks, so there's that.

Sophia and Finley aka the reason this show sucks monkey nuts!  Imagine having Dani but that thing called Finley is the one who rocks your socks?  Unreal.  I would think there is something seriously wrong with me and question every life choice I've ever made if an aimless bum with a drinking problem is my partner's true choice.  Was Finley humiliating Dani by interrupting her wedding to Sophia with a declaration of love supposed to be cute and awe inspiring?  I was offended for Dani.

Once again, Ilene loves to eat where she sh!ts.  Who's shocked?

Would someone please give Jennifer Beals a lasting role in a world where Ilene Chaiken does not exist, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Well, a good number of sets were up when I was there, but there was a limited number of people around. Even Y&R seemed dead, but maybe everyone was out for lunch at the time? I remember driving from the parking lot and preparing to enter the roadway when I saw Michelle Stafford and Christian LeBlanc returning from what I think was their lunch break. Not sure where they went or were coming from.
    • A scene I cannot wait to see. Julie Harris as Liliemae is the gift that keeps on giving; she's not outright evil, but frustrating, and in her own way, still pretty lovable.
    • Kim used to say that you can tell when she was unhappy because she would try weird or new things with her hair.  I don't think Rauch was at OLTL at the time Zimmer was but their producer at the time probably wasn't much of a peach either.
    • I wonder if less set use was preparing for the move. They probably were preparing for this for awhile now
    • The early part of the season is decent. After that, Season 9 is one of the worst seasons until season 13. Season 10 is a little worse.    That would have made sense, even if it cost us one of my favorite scenes (Ben putting Lilliemae in a headlock). That's an excellent storyline and leads to the show's last strong season finale.
    • The TVC Studio 31 that they used for 38 years was only about 13,730 sq ft., according to the TVC website specs: https://televisioncityla.com/stages-offices/ Sunset Las Palmas Studios has 11 sound stages, which go up to 20,000 sq ft., though we're yet to learn which of those sound stages will house B&B. Depending on which one, the specs for it can be found here: https://www.sunsetstudios.com/los-angeles/las-palmas-studios/ Sound Stages 4, 5 and 9 are available for use starting September 1, 2025. It's unclear if either of those stages would be used by B&B since they begin production there starting Tuesday, August 19, 2025, which would be before the date shown on the website, but we shall see. Of those three sound stages, only Sound Stage 4 and 5 make sense since they are larger than the specs the show had at TVC, while 9 is quite smaller.  Sound Stage 4 would be the best option overall for B&B since it has 18,819 sq ft., the largest individual sound stage at the lot - Stage 3 and Stage 8 share space, which combined makes the space 19,900 sq ft. --- Forgot to add, unless there was an issue with storing the sets, the changes at TVC should have had no issue with production on the show, resulting in fewer set use as there has been no movement in terms of construction that would impact either show (B&B/Y&R). Of the 2-3 times I've been at the studio, the most recent for Don Diamont's 40 years at CBS, it was the most dead I had ever seen the space, but that could be due to vacations, holidays, or the preparation of the B&B move.
    • I didn't post about it in the BtG thread as I still don't watch the show (an hour runtime is just too much for me right now with a new soap I can't just mostly skip through) but I can't imagine the ego of someone who is hired as a breakdown writer and decides to [!@#$%^&*] their own name all over the show. Classless beyond belief. Any writer who cares more about masturbatory behavior than quality of work should not be hired.
    • Yeah, it would've made things more tightly woven.
    • I like Chelsea and Madison. Two very pretty black women as a potential couple. But I really wish this show would've showcased two very handsome black men as a couple instead.
    • I didn't even think of roasters from GH

Maybe this roast will take even more than two years
