Members DramatistDreamer
Such a damn shame! The history of how daytime soaps have treated Black actors/actresses is nothing to be proud of. When I stop and think of it, this makes me deeply disappointed in the genre as a whole.
Members Faulkner
I actually thought they might give it to NLG.
Members BetterForgotten
Usually Maura can make OTT material work, but no one could make that sh!t passable.
Members Soapsuds
I never cared for her acting on Santa Barbara but thought she improved on GH but glad she didn't win.

Members Soapsuds
Oh glad she did not win. I think she actually believes the garbage that she is doing good work in her storyline. But I believe she submitted the wedding episode and the other scenes were with Chad which are pure boredom.
Members BetterForgotten
DAYS is now he second soap to win Best Directing, Best Writing, and Best Show in the same year. Ryan's Hope previously did it in both 1977 and 1979.
Members CBRVA83
What episodes of DAYS did Scott McKinsey directed that won DAYS the directing award?
Members DramatistDreamer
Nothing against Days but no doubt when Ryan's Hope did it, there was a lot more competition with dozens of daytime dramas on the air.
Members Soapsuds
Here is what Days submitted for best show.... Paul and Sonny/Chad and Abby Wedding with interruption from Ben/revelation that Will is alive. JJ writes letters to loved ones as he prepares to take his own life. Paul and Sonny/Chad and Abby Wedding with interruption from Ben/revelation that Will is alive. I am not sure if Scott directed the JJ suicide episode. Anyone know for sure?
