What story was that?

Lisa is already in the credits as EP.  She's been credited as EP for a couple of episodes already.

There were reports that JT would be revealed as a domestic abuser.

Same.

So...you might get your wish then. Then again are CBS the type to be like ABC and drop someone's replacement into the staff?

That's just character assassination there.

Glad it was squashed. Lawd another doozy by Mal. He needs to go. The ratings have already slipped and GH is beating Y&R in the demos.

I wonder, if Mal indeed was fired, if Sara Bibel and Beth Milstein will be  steering the ship (since they are basically co-HWs now, per Toups).

I also wonder how responsible they are for the erratic storytelling we've seen lately, and, if they are, do they need to get the steppin' as well.

Mal has removed Y&R from his twitter bio profile. Wow.  He replaced it with the words "my life is a soap opera" I think he's been canned.??

I hope MY has has been replaced and the stories lately that are credited with the new HW are those that I have enjoyed. I have always had faith in Sara Bibel and remain so glad that she is there.

For now, I'm not going to read too much into what is and what isn't in MY's twitter bio.  There could be a simple explanation for why Y&R was removed that has nothing to do with his status with the show.  But, no, I haven't been impressed with what I've seen and read about his take on Y&R; and yes, I think he needs to go (and will go, sooner or later, should all the downward trends continue).

Mal has 'goner' written all over his tenure. That's why watching him getting so excited about the show was so cringe-worthy. As for CBS pulling the plug so early, that would be a first!

BTW Mal must be such a clever writer if the best thing he can come up with for his Twitter bio is "my life IS a soap opera" lol

Or Michael.  I've never been convinced of his so-called redemption.

Mal said in his SOD interview that getting across the 'one episode in one day' format to the other writers had been difficult as they'd never written that way. Maybe that explains what's onscreen.

I bet they despise the format as much as we do.

No one working in American television writes that way.  Not even for a sitcom.  I don't watch the UK soaps, so I don't know how they write over there, or how successful that formula is over there.  Here, though, the "one day per episode" format just seems so [!@#$%^&*] arbitrary.
