She was who I was happiest for amongst the winners. Such a beautiful moment to see. Also happy Wicked lost all the real categories.

The Brazilians were happy about this win. She’s basically royalty in Brazil. Her mother Fernanda Montenegro is 95 and was nominated for Central Station 26 years ago:

This video made me tear up. People should strive to live their lives in a way that in the moments when they win... There are going to have a... family reacting like this. This is even more special than anything.

P.S If someone is confused - this is Demi's family.

I’m happy for Sebastian Stan as well - he’s in the Marvel bubble, but he’s not afraid to take risks and challenge himself in his work outside of that. He’s more than just a pretty face and it’s nice to see some recognition.

That said, SAG and BAFTA are the only precursors that matter. The Golden Globes have always been more of a popularity contest, though they definitely did throw some surprises this year.

Demi definitely has the story to win that Oscar now.  That speech put her in the lead to win Best Actress.   I didn't know anything about The Substance but the clips they showed during the broadcast has my intrigued.  I'm going to watch it whenever it comes to a streaming service.

I thought Nikki Glaser did a pretty good job hosting.  I laughed at a lot of her jokes.

It's already streaming. You can find it on Amazon prime to rent. ❤️
