Also thought this was highly probable.  I do not want it though. I never liked Vikki mothering Billy's cheat baby. Don't want to see Lily mothering Cane's.

It's frigging ridiculous! He can't have a scene in this music story without her around sucking up all the air. Watch her be made into Tessa's manager or some other nonsense to give her a legit reason to be more prominent than she should be in Devon's business. Mariah is running neck and neck with Gloria and Scott of the many back stories and jobs in being unnecessarily shoehorned in.

Billy was raped. I've never been sure if that makes it better or worse that Victoria is raising Johnny.  I agree with you in the case of Lily and Cane though. It's not the child's fault, but watching a woman take all the responsibility for a child their husband had outside the marriage is a no go for me.

The show long rewrote Billy/Chelsea to consensual sex despite the audience seeing him being drugged. I distinctly remember a conversation at Crimson lights between Billy and Chelsea sayng so.

I don't mind this scenario in the case of rape. It's the same as a man assuming responsibility for a child resulting from his wife's rape. Was Cane raped? Or just irresponsible? There is a fine line.

I'm still not sure why they have Jill as Cane's protector. He literally pretended to be her son. But this is the same show that had Sharon happily fall in love with the man that kidnapped her child.

For almost a year? More like 3-4 months and that's being generous.

If she's so anti-Nick/Sharon, why is he getting jealous of her being with Scotty?

LOL he was jealous of Scott/Victor, even Sharon said it, played ON SCREEN not de Land of La

"Anti-Shick" LMAO. That's why they've been sharing more scenes together than they have in a long time. That's why Sharon is Nick's sounding board. Please.

Chelsea serves ZERO purpose. It's time to cut their losses with her and move on, but for some reason they are clinging to MCE.

This week wasn't too bad I suppose. I'm kind of over the Graham/Dina thing and I'm ready to move on. I really don't care anymore. I love Dina and everything about Marla Adams but it's stalling and I'm losing interest. Dina's return has done WONDERS for Jack and Ashley as characters. Jack's been much better since he lost the prick attitude he developed. I zoned out during Jack/Victor. Zzzz.

Jess Walton looked FANTASTIC this week  Jill had scenes with all the right people but I'm really over her pushing Billy and Victoria. I do think the writing for Victoria has been better since Sally took over and I like when Amelia isn't forced to mope for Billy. I liked the line about not chasing after Billy, or what not.

I didn't really care much for Jill/Phyllis, can't put my finger on why. I liked Jill's part of it. I don't know, maybe it's because Gina's back to being Butch Phyllis. And it's clear all Billy and Phyllis have in common is sex.

Daniel Goddard was tragically bad in the hospital scenes as Lily got on the elevator. He's not good at all but I love seeing Cane squirm. He's been far more interesting the last few months than he ever was. I didn't even mind Colin so far.

Gloria has also been used well (I think they got the memo about her) but I laugh anytime Chapman does the bug eyes. Please stop that it's ridiculous, but it fits Gloria and Chapman's OTT acting I guess. But she's been used better.

You mean the 3 episodes they shared scenes in this month, he shared the same amount with Phyllis where he actually showed he was none too pleased bout her new BF.....BWAHAHAHA

ETA: Phyllis spraying whipped cream into Billy's mouth was cringe-worthy. I remember when sex scenes were so well prepared on the show that even how they used food would turn you on LOL. I remember Malcolm feeding Drucilla strawberries with whipped cream, in a romantic setting he had arranged, it was all kinds of sexy. Now... ugh. And I'm sorry to be beating a dead horse, I know MS was obnoxious in her later tenure but in her glory days Phyllis oozed sexuality. FauxPhyllis, as gorgeous as she is... not so much.

That's why I asked (in an earlier post) whether Billy and Phyllis' kitchen scenes were being played for laughs.

Otherwise, why use so many jump-cuts when a jump-cut usually denotes a comedic or farcical situation being played out onscreen?

Billy and Phyllis could have been for comedy. Mal Young thinks that GT/JT are RomCom gold. They've gotten quite a few comedy scenes.

So Billy was unraped?  <_< The show can try to sell me that kind of nonsense, but I don't have to buy it.

Victoria going to fire Cane. & should rehire Juliet. Mattie & Reed going to be blaming each other parents for what happen, I bet.

LOL you're right.

Some more considerations:

- The guy who plays Cane just. can't. act. I wish they would give him some basic directions!

- I am getting major lesbian vibes from Cassiah+Tessa.

- @Taoboi I just realized the Chipmunk is back next week, I guess you were referring to him. I'm ready to fast-forward through his scenes.

You have an agenda. I get it. You're obsessed. Please give it a break.

Comedy as in absurdist or slapstick?

When I think of movies that use jump-cuts, I generally think of movies by Charlie Chaplin or Woody Allen's Bananas and that weird Mightnight Sex Comedy film (which I watched before finding all about Allen's proclivities) or Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove

Those aren't rom-com's they're bizarro-pics!:lol:  If that's the vibe that SS is going for...:unsure::blink:

They wanted to sell that Billy and Chelsea romance badly.

But why would Vikki rehire a liar? Juliet is not blameless.

I think Hilary should talk to Juliet first before giving the tape to Victoria or Michael.

You're right. Hilary should sit down and tell Juliet she's sorry for egging her on but she must do the right thing. Hilary won't though. No story in that. And how will those two become rivals if Hilary is decent!

Slapstick. Remember when Billy was in Phyllis'  office on her computer and she was falling over the desk. It was more Lucille Ball than Sleepless in Seattle.

@Aback I definitely get romantic vibes with Tessa and Mariah. It's not just chemistry but staging and dialogue as well. The show may be playing around with it but I can't ever see them going there.
