What a boring week.  There is deliberate pacing and then there's dull. I realized yesterday that a large part of my problem with the show is the lack of tension. They pay lip service to it but I rarely feel it. I felt it last week when Jill found out about Fenmore's but they got past that real quick. It's shameful.

 

Yesterday Abby and Victor had the exact same conversation they had a month ago. Melissa Ordway has no screen presence whatsoever.

 

And because it can't be said enough Amelia Heinle is an atrocious actress and looks like she's dying. Fire her!

Although the counts don't back me up, I feel like I'm seeing way more Victoria than anyone else. That's never a good sign.

I think it's because the actress is so glaringly awful, it FEELS like she's on-screen more than she actually is.

I'm thinking it's more the way they've drawn the character. They seem to be intentionally going for cold and sexless. She's becoming a chore to watch.

I tuned in for the last half of today's, Friday's, epi and was pleasantly surprised.  Sharon's scenes where she's going over her mistakes with Sully, not telling Nick etc.  and staring at pics of Dylan were really well done and watchable.  Ditto her scenes with Victor who decided to be nice to her finally and tell her she belonged in GC and was part of the family.  That felt really right to me.

sucks balls.   The actor that played Jordan was good, believable, attractive and had chemistry with Lily.  What I would like to see is Cane and Lily break up, Cane and Victoria get together and Lily be on her own casually seeing Jordan on the side.  Is this going to happen?  Nope!  Cane and Lily will continue to be the most boring stupid couple on the show.  Why quit now.

 

For whatever reason, I think they are setting up Cane social climbing with Abby. Just a feeling I get. He seems the new Brad.

No, it's definitely her acting. There are a ton of cold, sexless characters that are also dynamic and fascinating. But there is nothing at all to this portrayal. She's flat out bad.

In any event, it's time for the show to pull back on the character. It's tedious. 

 

Jason Thompson has zero chemistry with Amelia Heinle. He sizzled with Gina Tognoni.

I absolutely agree. Also I feel there's a lack of SEXUAL tension between characters. Like, is there any couple oozing passion and attraction? Nope. Zero.

 

Don't get me started on Jill lashing out at Lauren. She got teary eyed almost immediately. It's ridiculous. Jill has been through hell and back. Yet JW portrays her like so weak and emotional. 

 

Ordway and Heinle are a lost cause, and I'm sure the writers know that even though they shove Victoria down our throats.

In this particular exchange I actually sided with Sharon. She was taking responsibility for her behavior as a mother and as a wife & everyone in her inner circle were so busy worrying about how she was gonna handle Dylan leaving they weren't allowing her room to process his departure. Nikki used Sharon's illness as a convenient excuse to bash Sharon even though Sharon wasn't really acting irrationally & acknowledged the stress was causing her to be short with everyone.

Sharon has used hr illness as an excuse, and their have been many instances of Sharon not being irrational, acknowledging her issues juxtapositioned with her feeling and doing the opposite to make anyone wary, she built that house LOL

Ordway and Heinle were hired and kept because of their looks. I think Ordway would be better suited in a criminal investigation show that requires no acting skills, like Shemar Moore went to.

 

I love JT as Billy he doesnt work with this awful Victoria reunion. Sally brushed Philly under rug. Shes ignoring the exciting parts of YR.

JT's Billy didn't work with Phyllis either.
