The Oscars

OH my gosh, that is horse crap, the contents of the link you posted. THe people on that site have no clue! Jon Stewart, whom they shamelessly bash to Kingdom Come, was a great host. The only problem, as one MSNBC columnist reported, was that the jokes were FOR Middle America, and not the stuck up celebrities, whom he made fun of! (Obviously, no one wants to be made fun of at their big party). He was catering to the viewers, not the celebs. He was a success for viewers, I think, but not celebs. OH and what's up with this idiotic music on that Web site:

"Then he sets up what starts out like a winner, noting how “a lot of people say this town is too liberal…out of touch with Mainstream America…a moral black hole where innocence is obliterated in an orgy of sexual gratification and greed…” But then he ends with, “I don’t really have a joke here.”"

Um, THAT IS the joke, you humorless people! What did the people on that Web site think? Um, Hollywood really is, in some way, much an orgy of sexual gratification and greed. THAT'S the joke.

Obviously, the writer of that column was just trying to further his or her agenda against Jon Stewart. I mean, making fun of jokes that Stewart produced in spades and calling his jokes a flop just because they didn't earn big laughs in the audience whom he thrust most of the jokes on?

Get real.

Okay, so here's my question. On Sunday's telecast Ludacris told the TV viewers to not pass judgment on Three 6 Mafia, and reminded us about other songs that won like "Shaft," "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "Morning After." Well, I thought it was a lame attempt at a joke on Sunday when he said "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" but then I saw on MSNBC today something like, "Ludacris reminded viewers of (all those songs), all of which featured double entendres."

Ummm, AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE? "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" was a song in a Disney movie. What are they talking about double entendre? It just means love. Or does it? I was so confused, though!

Best scenes of the night: 3-6 mafia perfoming and winning the oscar for best song, resse winning, crash winning for best picture, and george winning.

Most embarassing scene of the night: Jennifer garner not only almost falling forward but almost falling backwards, poor jenny. But I only laugh because she does alot of this stuff in the blooper reels on the alias dvds, she seems to be a little acident-prone or something.

Worst scene of the night: Jon Stewart hosting, I just don't get his very dry humor. Chris Rock we definantly needed you.

Oddly enough, I'm not big on Chris Rock. I don't think he's very funny.

Jon Stewart did a good job, IMO. I 'get' his humor.

I find that many comedians that everyone else seems to loooove, I'm like... what? Like Dave Chappelle. I think he's the most UN-funny comedian going. That annoying ass voice. There's nothing funny about TRYING to be funny.

I only caught the last hour of the awards.......did you all see Jennifer Garner! I guess she's still breast feeding. :D

I'm happy for Crash. I loved that movie.

Hell yeah to Jennifer Garner. She looked hot. But yeah, the breasts... sigh.

I thought Jon Stewart did very well, but his humor wasn't appreciated, it seems. He's very dry and snarky (IMO), which is my kind of humor.

Overall, the awards show was a huge improvement over past debacles. It was classy, well-run, had great presenters, great clip fests and it was just a good show. I enjoyed it and I haven't been able to say that in a while.
