Why don't they chemistry test her with Robert?  They have a shared history.  Better yet, try something new.

I love Scotty, but when he is with Laura he always tries to be the nice guy he was back then.  I like him best as a scumbag.  He's one of the most fun characters the show has left when they let him play it up.

All the rest of the men in PC are yucky mobsters besides Scotty. Laura and Scotty have been paired in the recent past numerous times and it has never worked. Plus their relationship in the recent past as been written has an afterthought. I would to see Laura and Scotty with different people. But this GH who doesn't give a Beep Beep about there vets.

It's ridiculous but the answer is they don't want to invest in Genie Francis. Plain and simple. Any time Tony was unavailable in the past after, oh, 1999 or so GH's answer was always, "eh, let's throw her at Scott again." Scott has kidnapped her, tortured her daughter and done crazy [!@#$%^&*] for years since then and she still tolerates his ass and goes "oh, Scotty!" I like Scott in doses, but not with Laura.

They could do a real story with Laura and a new man (I'm thinking a WSB agent) and let her anchor the show. They don't want to because IMO FV is still pissed that she's there at all - he had no use for her with Tony gone, she backed him into a corner on a real contract after walking away when she didn't get one in 2013, and he got stuck having to keep her after Ron got fired and his ass was on the line.

As for Paul, Richard Burgi is a brilliant actor but they've already fucked that character sideways. He's evil, he's good, no wait! It's ludicrous. I can't make sense of him beyond him being a sleaze, and while Laura might get involved with a mischievous corporate raider as Paul first appeared when he returned, she would not get involved with a kingpin or a slimeball.

LOLOLOLOLOL….FV must love him some Easton…LMAO!

Easton is one awful actor and unattractive too. I didnt care for him on PC or OLTL. He isn't a fan favorite so why do they keep rehiring this actor?

Wasn't that RC plan with Tracy? I like the idea of having her paired with Robert.

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
