Soap writers and the type of horror movie they'd write.

I was watching the original Friday the 13th awhile ago and notice that the screen writer Victor Miller wad an associate head writer on guiding light and all my children in the 80s and 90s.  It makes me wonder about other soap writers and the type of horror movies they would end up writing...

Out of any head writer...currently or past, what type of horror movie do you see them penning..

Henry Slesar would probably write a great horror movie, laced in the psychological aspects

Every time soaps have a serial killer storyline, that's like the equivalent to horror movies

Megan McTavish would do Rosemary's Baby.

It has everything she loves - rape and a ''Who da baby daddy?" story.

If Michael Malone were to write a horror movie, it'd probably be something very Southern Gothic, like the V.C. Andrews stuff.  Or it'd be like "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" or "Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte."

Bob Guza wrote "Prom Night" (1980)

That's right, I forgot. Wonder why he hasn't done a story like that movie

Would've been cool if they did all of that as storyline on the soaps they were on

Bill Bell would probably write a good psychological thriller.

JER I see as more of a "Comedy Horror" based on Passions and some of DOOL....though could see him making a good slasher film...

I'm surprised nobody's pointed out that most current soap scribes already write horror.

Agnes would write a haunted house movie. I can't decide if it'd be set in the South or up north.

Who was it that came up with the idea of using the Loving Murders as the basis of a modern horror series?
