Matt Lauer should have been pressed a little more. Just how did her complexion change anyway?

Interesting case but I think everyone is right here: she passed herself off as black for her own purposes and she also happens to be crazy. She makes complete sense except when it comes to the complete insanity of it all. I feel sorry for her parents.

At first I didn't take this seriously but she seems very disturbed. She needs help.

I feel like a lot of people are focusing on her "right" to choose her race, or the idea that race is meaningless, and not focusing on how she treated other POC, or her pseudo-con artists ways like what she did with that painting. I'd think people would be more wary of this.

I agree, some people are not really seeing that she is a grifter and is going to parlay this situation into monetary opportunity.

Her right to choose her race?! I guess all those black kids who've been shot recently should have chosen to be white. The word surreal is overused, but it fits this situation perfectly. That anyone is taking this woman seriously is just stupid. Montel Williams was on CNN earlier and he was killing it. You should watch the clip if you are in the mood for a laugh.

She's not just a grifter. She's deeply ill.

Yeah at this point I almost just feel sorry for her because she appears to be very severely mentally ill.
