2015 Daytime Emmy Nominations

Does anyone know what Geary submitted? I can't think of one scene where he wasn't completely OTT. That whole lead actor category has more ham than a Christmas dinner table. Peggy McCay is the best actor among the ENTIRE list, but lead actress? Seriously?

Seriously its like the picked the worse of the worse in the lead category just so that Geary would win. I hope Leblanc takes it…I am sure he submitted one of his cancer storyline eppys….but you know Geary is going to win it for his awful work this year.

Peggy McCay being nominated for lead is just …no words for it…..

Poor thing and they are bringing back Peter…..the tension…the tension...

A lot of the technical awards had nominations for all four shows also. I agree about the acting nominations that the talent pool isn't what it was in the genre.

If Laura was nominated for the wedding scenes with Franco, I'm cool with that nomination, too. I wouldn't mind another "Hell yeah!" moment from her like when she won in 2011 laugh.png .

And although Olivia isn't always served well by the writing (yes, I'm setting up the inevitable joke that no one is at GH, play with me here!), I do like Lisa and am glad she's nominated, too.

And to top it all off: the awards ceremonies are being broadcast on what used to be the TV Guide Channel.

Yep, dark days indeed for the industry.

You forgot about last year….online only with the pre-show being a hot mess and the actual show as well…..it couldn't get worse than last year although the list of nominees did.

Please soap gods let Ali Sweeney win this! It is appalling that this is her very first emmy nomination when Ali has literally been the lead actress on Days since the mid -1990s!! #teamAli

Part of me wants another moment like the Entertainment Tonight producer winning and refusing to STFU for 15 minutes again this year, just for the trainwreck value. And Kelly Monaco drunk off her ass threatening to take her top off, of course laugh.png .
