I don't think MS left because she thought she could make it. I don't think she had any intention of leaving at all. She played hard ball and thought JFP would cave to her demands. She never thought they would let their "lead heroine" (smirk) and most popular character (sarcasm) walk. Jokes on her. They did. And when they did, she thought they would eventually come crawling back and give her what she wanted because her fans would force them. She was right that they would come back but they weren't about to give her free reign over the show! So her pride kept her from coming back.

BM is different. He is used to a regular paycheck and doesn't want to wait on or bank on prime time taking a real interest in him.

This rumor was out there many months ago. I expected it to come to fruition.

If he is Jason I actually think he could do well, provided they reboot the character - give him his Quartermaine memories and his emotional life back, let him be drawn back to Robin, do a quad with Jason, Robin, Patrick and Sam. Break the seal on both the chemistry between Thompson and Monaco and the Jason/Robin legend, which Guza held in a hallowed place but never would touch again because - I felt - he, Jill Phelps and Frons considered Robin asexual and unfit for other pairings, let alone with Steve Burton. While I tired of him on Y&R, Billy Miller is not untalented and could do well with a new kind of Jason. I never had an objection to that character remaining with the show, I had an objection to the Jason Morgan character remaining with the show. If they bring him back and he's the same man, there will be no point. Steve Burton's Jason must stay dead.

AND WE HAVE A WINNER! As I stated before, if this was about Staffordshire wanting to try other things [at 50], there would be no negotiations and there would be no need to call Angie McD to try and usurp Jill,s authority! GH was stupid enough to give her what YR refused.

The problem with Miller isn't so much "talent" - he can put on a little show and mug it up for awards bait - it's that he has no chemistry with anyone he interacts with. And GH already has that problem with so many people.

The only Quartermaine memories the show is interested in are fat jokes. I have a feeling the only Q stories he would have are if Franco is made a Q again. They certainly aren't going to write for Monica.

I think Miller had talent at AMC as well as Y&R. And I think he had chemistry with quite a few people at both, but I think the show only wanted one thing from him and they and he got lazy. We can make the same case for innumerable 'big' actors on any soap - take Thorsten Kaye on AMC. He was unwatchable to me there for years. He blossomed with new handling on the online AMC, and I happen to think he's not bad at all on B&B, although the character really is not the same man. That's not to say GH will give Miller the right handling or will be interested in the Quartermaines, but I suspect RC is not all that interested in Jason Morgan as he was. I don't think he's the right writer for the story, but I do think Billy Miller could be very good as a new Jason. He certainly doesn't drone on like Steve Burton.

The way to thread the needle on a new Jason is to make him a secret agent, like Frisco, Anna, Robert, etc. before him. That is the only one a restored, hybrid-personality Jason would be allowed back on the streets, if he cut a deal.

I know some fans were into his pairing with Liz Hendrickson, but I just didn't see any spark. He had none with any other women (aside from a little with Christel Kahlil), and he was so cold and distant in all his Abbott scenes that they just tanked. I'll never forget that awful Emmy bait episode where he verbally abused Ghost John - I hate Ghost John (I didn't even like Alive John) and even I didn't want to see that.

Miller is essentially a show pony. He will do a few tricks and get the show more attention from Logan, DC and friends, but if they want to actually build a story or relationships, then he's an albatross, IMO.

But we'll see. He certainly can't be any worse than Paevey, Howarth, Easton, et al.

his REAL true love is Karen, and you knoes it! whistling.jpg

tbh, I wish they would bring Karen and Jagger back... seems so fitting, since GH is a wannabe medical (Karen)/police (Jagger) procedural.

Sam and Patrick actually have chemistry; more so than Sabrina. Whats good about them is that it doesnt feel forced bc the show isnt trying to push them as a couple but the actors naturally have been sharing good scenes as friends for quite some time. I still think they should have done him with Liz, but oh well
