lol, no. As if B&B would give Aly any kind of storyline. This gurl will be working on the jewelry line, so obviously she's being brought in to play 4th corner in that disgusting Liam/Hope/Wyatt triangle.

how so? Steffy was only with one guy (Liam?), right? I'd say Hope fits the Brooke 2.0 role a lot better, esp. now that she's dating brothers. #mess

One of the problems is that Eric and Donna can't carry any type of story.

If it were me, I'd bring John in, bring Maggie back (and make her a little kooky and nuts again), and start phasing out Eric, Donna Duck, et al.

I thought we were done with those awful, out-of-nowhere relatives who popped up in the 90s. I for one didn't miss them one bit.

B&B has done wonders creatively in the last few months, this feels like a step back. I hope I'm proven wrong or at least Brad loses interest in her in a couple weeks LOL

One thing is to establish a new core family. Another thing is to add out-of-the-blue characters we've never heard about before to the original core family of the show, the Forresters, whom we've seen everyday for the last 27 years. IMHO.

I'll take random, retcon, relatives over trying to establish a new family that sucks the life and soul out of the show (the Marones).

I've just started watching B&B again (thanks to all the positive comments in the B&B thread), so this will be odd seeing Ashleigh Brewer in B&B; I never thought I would see Kate Ramsay mixing it up with the Forresters! She's a decent actress, but her Neighbours character, Kate, was very saccharine and saintly, so I don't know what she'll be like playing a vixen - if that is what this Ivy character is going to be like.

Has John Forrester ever appeared on the show? I don't think I've ever seen him, and I've been watching since the mid-90s.

Maybe but they haven't limited it to just the Spencer's. Pam literally came out if nowhere as well as some sister of Stephanie's,we never saw before. I think that was more alarming than a new cousin popping up. We know Eric has a brother but we don't know much about him. I don't find it startling that he has a life that has occurred offscreen and that includes kids. It's not like this contradicts anything and it isn't evens rewrite like Bill being Sr's son and the show acting like he always existed

I wonder why they've never gone there? It feels like some of the past stories could easily have fitted him, like retconning Ridge's paternity, for one. Seems kinda odd, to me.

I think they were close around 1995 or 1996, probably considering some story with Stephanie. Brad Bell short attention span, as always.

I wish they'd expanded this group instead of bringing back the Logans, who have by and large been a huge bust (and I generally include HT's Katie in that).

The Logan sisters generally do have big busts. But I agree. Donna is just a peripheral secretary who happens to have family ties. Katie continues to exist onscreen because Heather Tom plays the role. The character itself needs to go and let us remember her as the pimply faced teen played by Nancy Sloan.

I enjoyed their individual scenes with other characters before they all came together at the Pub to commiserate over their relationships with Sami. I thought that was broken down pretty well. I just wish it had gone on a little longer. And I actually found it kinda funny too lol it seemed more mature than what we're used to. That's the kind of humor that should be on a soap. But I'm not really sure about all this talk of Dante Vitali and Sami's engagement though, especially since it doesn't look like Ali Sweeney is coming back anytime soon. What's the point of it all if we're (probably) not going to see it? It also looked like today was the first round of Brady vs. Xander as well lol I enjoyed their fight, and I'm interested in seeing this storyline play out. Even though I'm sure that Sarah will ultimately go back to Xander in the end, I'd like to see what happens along the way, and how they and everyone around them are affected by this. Btw, Theo and Jada? Idk. I still think he had the most chemistry with Arianna. And he was a bit of a dick too. It also seemed a little out of character for Jada to be so OK with him being such a dick  And though Alex and Stephanie were very boring again and need much better conflict than this book stuff, I am interested in the mystery of who's targeting Alex.  And yeah, I know this is a nitpick, but why is the Square still open after the gala? Isn't it supposed to be really late at night?
    • In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.

    • Frat Boy Jr.'s reaction to seeing Luna was just awful acting. It was so bad that I started laughing.

Does anyone have screenshots of it?
    • Geez, I hadn't heard that Doctors story. HBS really did go through it.
    • No offense to the actors involved, but dear God in heaven: I don't know HOW viewers managed to get through that storyline with Maggie, Frank, Cal and baby Jill without running into oncoming traffic.  Then, to make matters worse, they dragged poor Diana into the mess!  I don't care WHO gets that damn baby!  Just wrap it up and move ON already!
    • Poor HBS.  To have to put up with Stephen Burleigh, who stuck his knee between her legs while rehearsing a love scene on THE DOCTORS, then told the director that's what he did with his wife; Kincaid, who had more hair on his chest and upper lip than Koko the Gorilla; Kale Browne, who taped his lines all over the OLTL studio floor, because he couldn't ever be bothered to [!@#$%^&*] memorize them; and Robert S. Woods, who apparently thought it was still 1979 and that he was still smolderingly sexy, so why should Bo Buchanan be stuck being in a happy marriage with Nora?  After all that, no wonder she jumped at the chance to play a lesbian on VENICE, lol.
    • @Maxim Thank you for the mini-review and clip from several pages ago. I appreciate you using the Bo/Alex clip as them meeting again by this point was a real surprise to me. The scene has some layers, getting a glimpse of Alex genuinely wanting the best for Bo rather than gloating. I was disappointed it ended with Tina dragging her out of the room for some much less interesting sparring (I did enjoy Alex pointing out just how quickly Tina got over Cord).
