Members edgeofnik
Wow. I had no idea these were posted yesterday. Don't like the new format for news. It's been showing irrelevant Dylan Bruce news for two days.
Members SeanM
It was not posted yesterday. The thread was started yesterday. The numbers were added today.
Members ChitHappens
YR's dropping ratings are well deserved! Kitten fights between Hill and Lily are the highlight these days? I think not! GH's new family, The Clays seems to be a ratings winner, only not!
Members KMan101
Yeah, the thread is always started like a day beforehand I think. And gee DAYS and GH, I just wonder WHAT could be the problem .... (Dannifer for DAYS and NINA for GH methinks)
Members Soapsuds
GH is down...its about time....Days numbers are scary...really low...went from a 2.0 to 1.6 with only 2 mill viewers..ouch...B&B is the one holding steady.
Members jo.frank88
Days is so stale and boring right now - I hate to say these numbers are deserved... but they're deserved. Keep telling us frontburner stories with heroic Danifer, goody goody JJ and his salt of the earth girlfriend, and Hope Brady trying to find a place to hold freakin' fundraiser and these are the ratings you'll get! ... Props to GH for tying the demo!
Members LoveDays
You are absolutely right! DAYS ratings are well deserved. It's more than that though...Dannifer is a complete BORE and has always been, that's not going to change. But yet the writers keep pushing their storyline and the whole Liam thing...ugh!!!!! Hell I'm rooting for Liam!!!!!!!! There is no romance on the show or adventure. JJ propping Daniel is ridiculous. I don't mind Paige but what's her back story? Where's her family? What's the purpose of her friend Mary Beth? The Jordan and Rafe romance is going nowhere. I'm not even sure of her storyline nor purpose either. Why is she running? Who is she running from? Her storyline is the exact storyline that could propel adventure and enhance their romance. They could go on the run with location and everything, but I'm convinced these writers are incapable of writing that. Marlena is back but she's doing nothing. John has been seen what TWICE maybe three times or so. Kayla is doing nothing. This entire potential pairing of Aiden and Hope I'm not feeling and will not. Sami and EJ have never truly worked (IMO). The Gabi and Nick mess...do I need to continue. And don't get me started with the boring pairing of Eric and Nicole. THE SHOW IS A BORE!!! Once again it has no real direction. This is exactly what it was like when these writers were writing their first term. I want some improvement and fast. The ratings show that what they are writing is not holding interest. Members sungrey
Amen. I don't like seeing bad ratings for Days, but 1.6 or 1.7 is closer to what this show should be getting considering the dreck it's been putting out.
Administrator Toups Posted April 18, 2014 Author Administrator Share Posted April 18, 2014 GH's numbers (Total Viewers, HHs, and 18-49 demos) look stable to me, especially compared to DAYS and Y&R. GH wants to be around these numbers for "normal" weeks. I'm not too worried about DAYS either because they have "bullets in the chamber."
Members SeanM
GH's number look very good. I don't see the show losing many viewers in the near future. They have some big things coming up. If GH get this kind of numbers in a week like this, they really have not much to worry about I guess. The numbers always go down over the spring and summer. Iam sure some big story's like last fall/winter are planed and will get big ratings again.
Members sungrey
Toups, I do agree with you on "bullets in the chamber". Days should rise in the coming weeks. What worries people is Days' ratings were down the week of the WilSon wedding. I think a lot of people may have shed their winter skin and gotten outdoors too, which may have contributed to lower numbers all around. Just my two cents. Members JONNYSBRO
Again it's now spring April months and GH is holding steady as a rock. It dropped viewers but up in the demos. Ron and Frank have many more years at GH.
Members MontyB
Good for GH. Although, I don't watch anything on daytime anymore, I really want these shows to continue to air. So GH being up in the demo is great news.
