February 1, 201411 yr Member ] yes. Mine too. But didn't PB sound unenthusiastic. Maybe it was because he had to say it so fast. Or maybe it just didn't match my glee. Lol It was good. Perhaps but I thought... maybe he was trying to sound authoritative. I recently saw one of his old aspirin commercials on You Tube where he is not a doctor in real life but plays one on TV. Remember? I got that type of a tone in his voice. Like PB was putting on some sort of gravitas in his voice as if he wanted us to pay attention because he was announcing something important. Anyway, that's the vibe I got. Edited February 1, 201411 yr by DramatistDreamer

February 1, 201411 yr Author Member I have never been so ecstatic & annoyed at a recast announcement before LOL On one hand, ZOMG DAVID TOM IS BACK!!!!. On the other, they do that during the cliffhanger/ climactic moment? It breaks it up. Couldn't they content with Victoria's "BILLY!" and do the announcement at the beginning of the next episode? I swear, JFP has absolutely zero sense of taste and occasion.

Three things: 1. DT looks like BM. 2. What the hell is wrong with Jack. Adam killed your brothers child and you are feeling sorry for him. That makes no sense whatsoever. Especially him not wanting Adam in jail because "he is a father". You don't want the person who killed your niece to pay for his alleged crime. He should just walk away? This is ludicrous 3. I thought Chloe wanting Adam dead was realistic. I would feel the same way under the circumstances. . Edited February 1, 201411 yr by ajsp35801

I'm more excited that David Tom looks like that guy that made the one, and only, awesome interpretation of Billy, David Tom Jack & Chelsea's mother were deplorable in their support of Adam. Jack propping Adam is pukeworthy. Chloe, for once, made sense.
February 2, 201411 yr Member Or maybe he was just reading and its not a big deal at all. LOL. PB is an Actor (capital A) and Actors don't just read, dammit, they emote. Ever hear Shakespeare's "all the world's a stage". Seriously, though, have you ever worked with actors? I have. Most look at any reading as a potential audition for something.

Why wouldn't he just read?
February 2, 201411 yr Member I don't understand the need to have PB (a current castmember) do the voice over. It just takes all the more away from the fantasy IMO.

Because I'm almost positive he didn't do the one when Abby was recast last year. Edited February 2, 201411 yr by chicklitsandfantasies

He can't even manage to be pissed for a few hours over the fact that Adam killed his niece. Adam should skate cause he's a father? So what. Chloe wanting Adam dead is realistic to me too even if it makes her the bad guy to many. Edited February 2, 201411 yr by Taiah

Chloe did look bad to many But If anyone knows anything about parents of victims is they typically want the killer DEAD. It's rare to see anything different. and of course that wet blanket Victoria had to be the voice of reason. But Jack takes the cake. He seemed disappointed that the watch was Adam's. It's pathetic. It's like he cherished victor's spawn, i.e. Pissing Victor off with the relationship with his spawn, more so than he did his own brother. And it's not like he and the brother weren't close like Nick and Adam. There is just no excuse for his reactions. Adam has been the ruination of many a character on this soap. Glad he is gone. Maybe Jack can be relieved of prop duty.

I have a BFA in Theatre actually...again I still don't understand the hoopla over a freakin voice over. I don't remember any posts here when PB did the voiceover for Adam's recast. While I liked the Adam/Jack relationship, dating back to Engen in the role it hasn't made sense in a long ass time. Jack let Adam take the fall for the journal forgery and Adam has now killed two of Jack's nieces/nephew depending on what Ashley was having. Edited February 2, 201411 yr by Antoyne

When it was just a mutually beneficial alliance to take the mustache down, it was fine. But when it became Adam being the son Jack should have onscreen, it got to be too much. Jack should never care for Adam beyond using him. Period.
February 2, 201411 yr Member The Adam-Jack friendship was always OOC for both, especially after the torture Adam put Ashley through. I wonder if PB was the only actor left who MM didn't have beef with (or insulted on set or on Twitter) and that's why they kept writing the heart-warming father/son type scenes.
